    David Warner

PR stunt for sure. Who would go to the lengths of checking Qantas and hotel security footage before actually checking every bag in their room? He also had to mention in his video that he had gifts for his kids too, just to show what a great guy he is.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

According to his QRL stats: 147 tackles made, 52 missed. 73% efficiency. Now that could well be considered pretty standard for a centre it QLD cup (I really don't know), but doesn't inspire confidence for him making it in the NRL.

    1st Test: Australia v West Indies @ Adelaide Oval Jan 17-19, 2024

Also Khawaja who has been fantastic at opener after starting as middle order bat. Plenty of examples to show it doesn't have to be a specialist.

    1st Test: Australia v West Indies @ Adelaide Oval Jan 17-19, 2024

If Smith moves to opener and rejuvenates his game Khawaja style, then he cements his spot as the best since Bradman (if he isn't already). I can see the appeal from his perspective. He is scoring OK but is lacking his usual fluency. Perhaps the change of position helps him "find his hands" of...

3rd test: Australia v Pakistan @ SCG Jan 3-7, 2024 (Warners last test)

He has batted up the order in white ball cricket too (some of which is IPL). I thought he batted 8 in the Ashes, but you are right, he was 7 but crazily picked as as a specialist bowler.

3rd test: Australia v Pakistan @ SCG Jan 3-7, 2024 (Warners last test)

They keep talking about picking the 6 best batters, which to me says they want Green back in. I think he is viewed as the long term replacement for Smith at 4. I am sure Green could do an OK job as an opener, but it's a big ask. He has been shuffled around the order the past 12 months and it...

    Luai the tigepie.

I know if my team somehow managed to win 3 straight comps (pigs might fly, I know), I would spend my summer afternoons in the off season having a sook in another teams subforum having a sook about a Photoshop pic.

    Luai the tigepie.

Great signing. If Luai gets us playing finals, he will cement his legacy as a great of the game. Starting to get a bit of class in the key positions. Bula, Luai and Api could be a great combination. Coach and outside backs still have big question marks. I will never trust this club not to f**k...

    2nd Test: Australia v Pakistan @ MCG Dec 26-30, 2023

Pretty terrible year, really. Losing the Ashes morally, followed by losing the WC on paper and now being outplayed by Pakistan.

BIG BASH 23-24 (Mens and womens)

Classic knock tonight by the incumbent Aus T20 captain.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

It is worth everything to us. To be 12+ years without playing finals is an embarrassment. Even if we sneak into 8th and lose, at least the streak resets. Most players view the Tigers as where careers go to die, and we will continue to be seen that way until we at least start making the finals...

    1st Test: Australia v Pakistan @ Optus Stadium Perth, Dec 14-18 2023

Sums it up really. Easy to write off that all his runs at home, but these runs are a huge reason why Australia is so dominant at home. He has played a big part in dominating the home Ashes the past 10 years - these runs have value.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Great signing. Obviously has some risk, but it is one worth taking. Top tier halves don't go on the market often. Even if he sneaks us into the 8, he will cement his legacy. I don't pay a lot of attention to $ of signings. We will get better value from Luai on $1.2m than Brooks on whatever he...

Ahh yes, pornography is famously known as being hard to define. Very wise.

    1st Test: Australia v Pakistan @ Optus Stadium Perth, Dec 14-18 2023

No point sending Green back to the Shield, he was already the best batsman in the comp by some distance. Green is a much better talent than Marsh, so why not give him the opportunities we gave Marsh at the same age? There is no way we are losing a test this summer, so time to give the future a...

Australia in India 5 game T20 tour from Nov 23 2023

Not to mention his bowling which was economical throughout the tournament (though not so much last night).

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

These are NRL players. The only "investing" they will be doing is in Bitcoin and Queen of the Nile.

ODI WC Final: Ind v Aust Nov 19, 2023 - AUSTRALIA 2023 CHAMPIONS

I am Kaif actually played the 2003 WC final and got a third ball duck. He was just as average a player on paper as he was on the day.

ODI WC Final: Ind v Aust Nov 19, 2023 - AUSTRALIA 2023 CHAMPIONS

2007 the best team, but I think 2023 is the best win if that makes sense. I can't imagine an Australian team ever being bigger underdogs in a big game than last Sunday and to win the way they did was amazing. 1999 was awesome too. 2003, 2007 and 2015 we were heavy favourites.
