Frankly I want a win against the Panthers. I think we are well placed to beat Roosters at Magic and Oarra and Broncos, but I want the Panthers!

Their home ground is in Woolooware Bay, why would they change their name to Perth Sharks? Your ideas sound pretty ridiculous to me Nealo.

Your preferred geographic identifier for the Perth footy team

Cronulla-Sutherland is a strange name for a team in Perth.

Changing the NRL season for Internationals

It means the GF is not played on a public holiday weekend which I think is an NRL priority.

Perth Rats sort of works considering Rottnest Island was named after their rat like inhabitants. Not very welcoming sounding though.

I haven’t put my finger on my favourite. I don’t like West Coast as it is just the same as the AFL team. Then I don’t like Wests or Western on their own. I don’t mind it being an abbreviation. W.A. Mix it with my favourite moniker and you have the: W.A. Venom

    18th club, whose next?

I wouldn’t expect Google trend data for a state with no NRL representation to be any different than what you have shared. Only a fool would. The data certainly is not supporting evidence of your profiling of the WA population and the government.

I was about to start a thread on the next six rounds, because after those five, we have the Panthers. It is a very, very difficult period for the boys. Make or break the season I would think. I fancy our chances against the Cows. Raiders in Canberra will be tough. Then the derby against a...

I was thinking the same thing, unless Mt Smart gets sold for development and Eden Park becomes the new Sports administration and CoE facility for say the Warriors and Blues with say a 10-15k seating for provincial activity.

Yeah, I think Melbourne continues to be an example of best practice when designing a city’s major sporting infrastructure. Melbourne Park, AAMI, Olympic Park all surrounding the mighty G and with both its own entertainment options and within walking distance of hundreds of additional...

What do you mean they’re struggling to find the money to open the club? They have 20-40m in the bank IIRC from the AGM a few weeks ago, let alone a $17m loan approval from CBA to fit the joint out when it’s ready to fit out.
