    A Casino

Isn’t one a public course and one a members only course?

    A Casino

Is it feasible for the Sharks to include a casino in its new leagues club. Not just a bunch of machines, I mean proper casino? Has it been discussed before? It would certainly get us a lot closer to securing the required funding for a new stadium.

    team vs souths

I am happy with Iro in centre but really feel for Sifa having been dropped to the bench. Especially with Rudolf and BHU due back soon, this would leave him only clinging on to a 17 squad spot with all fit. I think he will add more as a utility forward option for us than anyone else and his...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

What I don’t get are peoples calls for $40-$50m to be spent on LO. What on earth is that actually going to achieve? SFA I reckon. And what the hell would $50m at Shark Park fix? Both suggestions are lipstick to a pig and a waste of funds. I also don’t understand what Newcastle needs $100m for?

    25 Teams. 5 Divisions.

Sharks are left off deliberately? it may be a problem with how I can view the image but am I right that you’ve left a few blanks spots in the divisions where there is no obvious answer?

Game Day vs Balmain Magpies ( round 3/2024)

Back three and Sifa were fine. Forwards were pretty poor and the halves didn’t start considering plan B until way too late, where execution was desperate and still flunked

    RLWC 2025

I would love to see some of that “soft diplomacy” cash go towards a 2026 Pacific Islands WC, hosted by NZ, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, PNG and maybe even New Caledonia for the French angle. Aus gov’t to build some sustainable RL facilities and programmes and some temporary stadiums. RL would be the...

I agree with your last part. It’s like school kids picking on the disabled kid who was born with eight fingers and has one leg shorter than the other.

    18th club, whose next?

Quick, give the Bears the 18th licence for this Country monstrosity, before they get wind of this Coventry idea above 😂

    Stadium Re-development Thread

I used to live in Cronulla up until mid 19. I would get the bus back from the match. Simple. Not that I agree with that being the best model. I am not really experienced in the bus and train services feeding the rest of Sutherland post game, but to me, the club and more so the NRL, must be...

Not only that, they also had a tremendous leg up from being owned by News. The fact they have retained Bellamy since Mews left has been a god send. His departure will be Melbourne’s acid test.

This is exactly right. This whole story is nothing but a little bit of drama to keep the news firmly on RL. He throws out ridiculous figures and the consumers of “channel 9” style media outlets lap it up without any reasonable question. Imagine suggesting face to face to the people of...

It’s all well and good saying Melbourne can share its 5m population but does the NRL want their own GWS style financial noose around their neck? I doubt it’s affordable and for what reason? Because there is a large population? That’s not reason enough to go there. It’s not even in the top 7...

When you say all of those places would offer more, are you referring to: Supporter base: CC would be higher than almost all of those. More pathway talent: I would suggest CC higher than all except maybe NZII. Backed better financially: A CC Bears side would probably be the best financially...

Well, yeah, it’s not Sydney is it. It’s an hour north, just in the same way GC being an hour south isn’t diluting Brisbane. Gosford is a self serving city in its own right and the surrounding area is very parochial to its CC identity. The Central Coast is an evermore affluent region and RL...

It’s a good question and very much the right one. I would debate CC value any day. As far as creating pathways and opportunity to demonstrably grow the NRL market, I would take CC Bears over Brisbane III any day. Brisbane has no real need to be diluted further any time soon. For me, those three...

    Relocate the Sharks to Perth

Well, they are far less ludicrous than buying the Sharks for $20k and selling them to Perth for double the price. 1. Don’t move the Sharks or any Sydney club. Because it’s frankly a ridiculous suggestion. 2. NRL and clubs create a strategy to increase inner Sydney tribalism to ensure avg...

The only way the Bears makes any sense to me is if they are in Gosford and maybe play a couple of games a year in N Sydney. All this other Pacifica and Perth stuff is just absolute nonsense!
