    they can’t build more than a 20 k stadium on the existing site. That is why the Paceway is the preferred site. apparently the compulsory acquisition is still going ahead.

    Why? Are you saying that because you don't have a natural disaster in your area you should get no infrastructure spending? I have nothing against spending on flood or bushfire repair and recovery, but there has to be some middle ground. The stadium would create a lot of jobs in an area that...

    It got a gymnasium, a function room, and about 100 seats, no of which is available to the public. It was built instead of a dual stand at the Southern end because of sewer pipe issues. Other than that it has nothing done to it this century.

    Geelong's Kardinia Park is currently undergoing a massive redevelopment. It is like Penrith being an impractible distance to share the main stadia.

    Penrith aren’t a small Sydney club, and quite rightly need and deserve a new stadium. The area has had no major infrastructure builds except for upgrades to the hospital in recent times. The current stadium has not been upgraded this century.

    If Cleary isn’t the HB going forward Mal should be sacked. Martin showed he is a worthy Kangaroo and should at least be on the bench for future games. Yeo was his usual self. He is by far the best 13 in the game.

    Going back to the thread title, Australia won't win the WC as long as Mal keeps up his pro Queensland selection policy. He has tried to justify DCE firstly as the incumbent (3 years ago), the decide he would rest the GF players which no other country has done. So DCE and his 9 other Qld mates...

    Negative, but unfortunately I think realistic. If they rebuild on the existing site it will be 20-22k which means less capacity than at present when you consider the increase in corporates.
