    If they get $50m, then Penrith will get some uncovered seating on the northern hill, and get the toilets improved. And some people on this forum would think this wold be a fair and reasonable outcome!

    I can see it now - the big refurbishment will be making the family hill uncovered seating and fix up the toilets on both sides! That’s about all they can do without a full rebuild, which on the present site would be around 20k. Total waste of time.

    Total water of money trying to refurbish the ground or rebuild on the current site. The refurbishment would leave it needing a rebuilding in a few years, and a rebuild on the present site would be 20k less corporates meaning a lot less public capacity.

    None of this will matter if News Ltd ans SMH decide it should be an upgrade and they should spend the money elsewhere. You know - in the best interests of the community!

    If it’s correct it is another failure. Instead of a new stadium you get maybe 3 half arsed upgrades that will be good for maybe 5 years before they need upgrading again. The way things go they would knock down and rebuild Allianz before anybody else gets a new stadium!

It would be a terrible political decision for either party to renege on a new stadium for Western Sydney on the grounds that a Western Sydney GF means they have to do a deal like that to keep...

    I didn’t bring up any airport argument, but it only 17km from Penrith, and is easily accessible by road and will be by the metro under construction to those that move to that area.

    If you have a state of the art stadium within 20-25km you should use it. Penrith is > 35k away from Commbank. How can that be considered as a home ground. If a new stadium is built it should be I Penrith.
