    Rumoured Targets 3

Let’s not forget the great Shane Perry who won the premiership at halfback for the Broncos in 2006.

I think the thing with King is that he works so well in the Melbourne system with a superstar spine but I can’t see him being on big money elsewhere. I suppose the going rate for a starting front rower these days is probably $500K-$600K but I see King as more of a benchie in a lot of packs...

King was pretty good towards the end of his time with us, and going to Melbourne has turned him into a pretty reliable first grader. But $600K+ is madness. He’d probably get about $400K somewhere. He’s a good workhorse type of guy but for around that price I’d prefer someone a bit more explosive.

For Leo at this stage I think more than $600K might be overs. He’s good but was a little flat at times this year. Trouble is we paid Dan on potential and look where that got us. Don’t want to make the same mistake with Leo. Without there being many options out there I think POS might just try...

In fairness the Dargons need upgrades in most positions…

Why do you say that? Is there news that he’s going to be moved on?

I thought the whole reason that Ben Hunt wants out of the Dragons is to go back to QLD so it seems weird that he’d sign for another Sydney club.

It’s going to be pretty hard to unseat either of those guys unless there’s an injury imo. Both of them have probably got a mortgage on their jersey for the foreseeable future.

What’s the deal with Ilias? He was really good in his first proper year of NRL then his form fell off a cliff after that, then he was dropped and Souths continued to go poorly which suggests that he may not have been the issue. Then did he get injured in reserve grade or something? He’s a fair...

    Rumoured Targets 3

Well obviously it would be more interesting if every team had a legitimate chance of winning but that’s clearly not going to happen. But what I mean is there are maybe another 4 or 5 teams outside of that top 2 who are likely to show big improvement next year and could make it interesting if...

    Rumoured Targets 3

Put it this way. I can see Penrith winning another 3-4 over the next 8-10 years. Provided Cleary doesn’t retire due to injury. But I can’t see them winning another 3-4 on the trot. It’s going to get harder every year for them to win another comp consecutively. Every other team is out to prove...

    Rumoured Targets 3

Not sure about that. I can see Penrith having a bit of a dip the next couple of years thanks to Luai and JFH leaving, that’s a massive hole in their team and they don’t have experienced replacements for either. Also Cleary’s body seems pretty beaten up at the moment and if he has another lengthy...

    Rumoured Targets 3

I agree. I know the Knights don’t always get it right but we actually have a pretty good team aside from 3 of our key positions, and that’s somewhat made up for by the fact that we’ve got a Dally M winning fullback. Add a more competent halfback in there and we could get something good...

Wow I didn’t know that about his brother, that’s terrible and sad for him and his family. It makes his Clive Churchill medal the other night even more special.

Martin isn’t a stats monster by any means (in fact his stats on paper look pretty pedestrian) but his intensity and grit are off the charts. The bloke is absolutely full of mongrel. Honestly would love a player like him at our club.

So after all the media beat-up about KP and Kangaroos availability he doesn’t get picked anyway. LOL. Oh well it works out better for the Knights anyway. I don’t give a rats @ss about the Pacific Championship tbh.

    Team 2025

Croker is probably the guy who will benefit the most from DSaf leaving, in terms of game time that will become available. Hopefully he has a massive off season and basically demands regular selection and consistent game time. I think he’s got the goods to be a solid first grader at least and...

Yeah this is an interesting one. Broncos will want a quick fix but there aren’t any real big name experienced coaches on the market.

We’ve got Elliot for under $500K right? Seems alright for a starting lock. It’s a little hard to see him as an under-performer. I think he tends to perform equal to his pay grade on average.

    Ponga Appreciation Thread.

The whole idea that he could be suspended for not being available is a farce. Didn’t PVL allow Taylan May to play in the finals series a couple of years back and delayed a suspension because it was “good for the fans” or something to that effect? Absolutely laughable what’s acceptable and what’s...
