    2021 - Squad, Signings, Re-signings

It appears the Warriors went cold on JDB and instead are locking in Lodge, IMO theyve got more brains than our mob, and while I’m at it I’ll throw another contentious opinion in (whether it’s true will never know) but rumours still circulate that the clubs support JDB cost us Friz,

    2021 - Squad, Signings, Re-signings

Spot on, though I will say, in attack his dummy half runs on the back of the wingers hit ups will be quite effective but it’s the Warriors defence that’s been their Achilles and I can’t see Aitken helping in that department.

Yep I’d suggest double dinners and double weight sessions until season proper.

    2021 - Squad, Signings, Re-signings

Aitken will be looking forward to the match as our forwards take on Fonua Blake, Murdoch-Masiila, Kane Evans, Leeson Ah Mau, Tohu Harris and reports they’re on the verge of signing Lodge for three years. Atleast they don’t have big wingers,

    2021 - Squad, Signings, Re-signings

Good luck is right, a lot of teams have strengthened already and I hope they’re not depending on JDB as that’s not worked well in the past, and that’s pretty close to the side that will run out. Maybe Rav edges out JP. I think we are in for a tough slog but I hope the coaches are planning for...

    Project mika second row

Yep Mary’s old power game sure took its toll, combine that with the fact Mary played them injured and ran them into the ground, totally opposite to the thinking of coaches like Trent Robinson who seemed to be a knack of knowing when players needed a rest.

    Project mika second row

I agree 100%. Just two seasons ago we had 4 inform SOO forwards. Fast forward to the present and we have the declining form of Simms and to a lesser degree Vaughan and coupled with the loss of Friz and inevitable loss of JDB and we really are flailing in forwards department and this will only...

    Kaide Ellis signs

Strap yourself in, it’s gunna be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong offseason

    Kaide Ellis signs

Yeah I was on the fence but that’s a good point and it’s probably another reason why losing JDB hurt us. Losing not just a good defender but also quite an effective ball player. I imagine that skill set isn’t easy to transition to and be effective long term.

I know some don’t like criticism but IMO if the shoe fits you need to wear it If you don’t want the tag do something about it

    EUAN AITKEN

Yeah I concur. To me he would be the ideal utility player. I think especially so with the Warriors next year who will have an enormous pack, (AFB and Murdoch Masiilla? Ah Mau and co, and with current rules speeding up the game a smaller hard running forward could be really effective. Aitken...

    Zac Lomax

This is exactly my point, I wasn’t implying that Thurston was a bad defender, and I don’t agree with comments about him being overrated as he delivered on the highest stages on many occasions but imo what made him, Cronk, Johns and a lot of the others special was they had a inbuilt...

Thurston’s high miss tackle count it wasn’t that he was a bad defender he was actually putting that much effort into getting pressuring attackers that he’d be put down as a miss, in short stats don’t tell the full story.

    Zac Lomax

Current dude has won the last two series and has single handedly restored faith and respect back in the blue jersey. So fear not I’d feel confident in saying the coach/selectors/staff actually knows what’s what.

    Cody walker

What a player, love seeing him tear the Roosters a new one, made my night

    Ofahengaue

Yes wouldn’t it be great to find a Jeremy Smith or Neville Costigan, it’s quite obvious we need atleast one, best case 2 tough impact forwards and fingers crossed the new coaching staff (and fans) are willing to be patient with junior backs that will take time to develop. It isn’t a guarantee...

    Ofahengaue

I must say being patient and building from within certainly sounds warm and fuzzy and I agree it should be our focus. But I partially fear this concept is also dream time stuff. I say this because we have a very poor track record of late in producing world beaters. If you’re thinking that I am...

Yeah I detected it was a little tongue in cheek. Like many I’ve felt for some time there’s a good crop of young forwards emerging but we lack mongrel. I suspect where not far off. Lawrie and Kerr in particular are on the rise IMO, Ford is very green but if I’m honest a little disappointing...

I like your loyalty but I have to say I’m so glad Griffin doesn’t agree with your assessment.
