    Sommerton got monstered most of the first game he played. Luke has been the same. Not sure it’s the worst idea to put a stop gap at 9 for the first 20. The most experimental we get with the ball in the opening 20 is slinging it to NC on the last anyway.

    If we were talking $100 - $150k PA more I’d be 100% on board with feeling betrayed. But he’ll be receiving $350 - $400k PA more on a long term deal. Genuinely can’t see anyone turning that down regardless of position within the club.

    Tigers probably offering him $400k more for this season alone. I'd be down with COVID for a month if I was Luai. Agree with @Munky, Ivans comments were short-sighted and missed the mark regardless of his intentions.

    I reckon people are downplaying how good Luai is because 1. he looks like he's leaving 2. Cleary won us the GF. Luai would be a great fit for the Tigers with Api, Papalli, Bula and co. Tigers get down the field they just don't have the polish.

    100% on Simmons and Frank Puletua (for a shorter time frame). Would love to see a right side of prime Simmons and Whare with this squad. Would be untouchable. Re; Kenny, another one I got badly wrong. The second-best hooker in the last decade behind the King.

    There’s opposition momentum, then there’s the 3 tries in 10 mins, with Yeo, Luai and Sorensen on the bench type of momentum. How we even got a sniff I’ll never know. They looked that slick.

    Critta’s in season improvement has been ridiculous. Was average at best the first 8 rounds, looked disinterested and couldn’t beat his man to save his life. The player last night was worlds away from that, comfortably the best centre in the game at the moment.

    Incredible win. Played 15/20ish but gees Garner was good when he came on. Hasn’t been talked up enough I reckon. Same can be said for Cogger. Leota is just a different beast in finals. That second stint was vintage 2022 GF.
