Which Was Our Best Jersey This Year - An off season thread

My favourite is still the 2014 (I think) heritage jersey. It was hooped, with our colours evenly spread. I'd love if that was our jersey worn at all away games and for home WSS games. Wear our black and white heritage jumper at Campbelltown home games, wear our orange and black heritage at...

    Championship and League 1 2018

Complete amateur hour of the RFL to have changed the season how they did. Although Featherstone and Leigh both had similar issues. I think the season is too long. Championship was 30 games plus 2 playoffs? League 1 was 26 games plus playoffs? That's almost undoable for the elite professionals...

    New format agreed

On the English website it states that League 1 has 12 clubs participating in it in 2019. I'd assume that nobody 'new' is going to enter. West Wales will by all accounts remain. Maybe they can obtain a victory next year and not be belted by 60+ a week. I think they got done by 100+ on 5 occasions.

2019 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

From the best of my recollection, the NSWRL issued a mandate that to participate in the NSWRL competitions (SG Ball, Harold Matts) they needed to also have a side in the highest tier NSWRL competition. This is why Canberra ended their relationship with Souths Logan and entered into one with...

    Middle 8’s

Certainly makes the Championship more intriguing. You'd think with promotion so readily available that Toulouse would be strong contenders again. Makes you wonder why they didn't increase the Super League to 14 teams with possible expansion.

Trade Ivan to Penrith for 2019

With Ivan now committed to leave, there's no point retaining him. His interests cannot be solely on WT for the remaining years of his contract and that's to the detriment of the WT franchise. Yes, he did a good job in bringing us some sound players and instilling some might amongst us, but, when...

2018 NSWRL Senior Comps - ISP, Flegg, RMC, Shield

Any further news on Cabramatta possibly entering the ISP Cup as an entity with Canterbury? I've also heard rumblings that Parramatta were close to severing their Wenty ties, but haven't seen anything concrete.

What is the format for NRLW 2019?

With a year of growth, there's no reason why it can't expand in length to 6 games plus a final. It's a delicate process as you don't want to rush it or oversaturate the market. Consolidate the state leagues first, then promote teams from that setup to reduce the need for girls to travel and be...

    Championship and League 1 2018

That's absolutely crazy given they were in SL 12 months ago. Shows why proper management is essential to teams in all divisions.

What is the format for NRLW 2019?

Based on the footage they showed it was for the WNRL games. Origin and Jillaroos had no bearing on the award.

What is the format for NRLW 2019?

Extending the season to home & away would be a start, allowing each team to have played 6 games before the grand final and gain a little more legitimacy. Awarding a Dally M medal off 3 games seemed rather trivial.

    Championship and League 1 2018

We don't get much League 1 here but seeing the performances, Swinton look to be pretty bad formwise. 4 wins in 30 games is a poor turnaround.

What is the format for NRLW 2019?

You'd think given the success of the inaugural season they'll want to expand the teams and season length. However, they have to be careful to not rush into it without the girls being ready and the markets being ready. Western Sydney needs involvement in the league for sure (Canterbury as...

    Championship and League 1 2018

So apparently 12th in the championship can theoretically survive relegation due to the new restructure. They'll play the loser of Bradford/Workington in a playoff for the 14th spot in the championship. This means L1 stays with the same teams barring a huge upset.

    Championship and League 1 2018

League 1 currently has 14 teams. The new structure shows it will have 12 next season. So, 2 go up through promotion, but one falls down (possibly 3 up with the playoff). Does this mean that League 1 will cull West Wales?

2018 NSWRL Senior Comps - ISP, Flegg, RMC, Shield

Well that's a welcome relief as I saw it mentioned that it was being considered for the chopping block. They've actually had a great setup for years. Dominated the Wests league, went to Group 6, dominated that, went to Canterbury, dominated that, then entered the Shield and are its most...

    Championship and League 1 2018

Tough luck to them for booking holidays. My goodness they do nothing but whinge in the lower leagues.

2018 NSWRL Senior Comps - ISP, Flegg, RMC, Shield

Isn't the Shield being abolished? They could step up to RMC, sure, but the Wests association would prevent that.

2018 NSWRL Senior Comps - ISP, Flegg, RMC, Shield

What I meant was exactly the issue you pointed out. Having the ISP game at 3 forced their hand, otherwise you'd have to put a lower grade game on after the ISP to fit them all in, defeating the purpose of the event. Brett Lahey.
