    Who have you met ??

Larry Corowa was there. We ended up having a chat, a real gent. I later told him where he could get a good steak at that time of night. It was some years ago. Good night was had by those in attendance. In Southport... "Dan's Trivia Night" I recall. After one of the rounds they gave me an old...

I'm pretty sure you also met Larry Corowa at a certain trivia night. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Twiggys with us

It'll be interesting to see how far this goes. Rugby union in Australia is in strife both on and off the field. They are poorly run and struggling financially. It's possible Forrest is looking for some way out of that mess or just angling for some leverage.

Is non alcoholic beer (as in 0.00 %) still deemed as an alcoholic beverage in society ?

Some months ago I saw a lobbyist on TV trying to argue that alcohol free beer should be removed from supermarket shelves. She believed it was a gateway drink designed to get kids introduced to the harder stuff. She had no real evidence, just anecdotal. You only have to look at the packaging...

Is non alcoholic beer (as in 0.00 %) still deemed as an alcoholic beverage in society ?

Go for it. Our fridge at work often has a few alc-free beers. Carlton Zero mainly. Arvo drinks have become more socialable when people don't have to worry about driving, and a lot of people just don't like alcohol. I think it's becoming more popular.

    St George Leagues 60 m development .

Only what was told at the Club in early September by the new CEO Craig Epton. To put it in perspective, it was after the last Kogarah game and we simply got chatting at the Club. From that convo, the renovations are definitely a goer and include the auditorium. As for the dollar amount, that...

    The Rumours Thread

You're probably thinking of 2023. This latest announcement is for the 2024 season. Edit: And the reason why they did it in 2023 had less to do with travel and more to do with training at a home ground. I thought it was noticeable when the players started training again at Kogarah, particularly...

That's cool, but what can you see? A saviour perhaps? I'm aware of the situation and depth of the problem. With respect, it is way beyond 'basic economics'. Balancing the household budget is basic economics. Then there's contracts, small print etc. Then there's business tactics.... for example...

Yes, he would like to make more money. That much is correct. Who do I trust? lol. Never thought of it that way. It's not a good vs evil thing but I suppose it makes for a good story.

Not sure what point you're trying to make, but Gordon is there for one reason. But that reason is not for the team, the Club or the fans.

25% increase in revenue was mentioned. This prompted a joke, "were old mate's wages about 25%?" lol.

St George Leagues Club apparently in line for a $200 million upgrade next year. Nothing in the media as yet. Includes bars, restaurants and yep, the auditorium. Club manager Danny Robinson resigned earlier this year. Craig Epton is the new CEO. Club turnover is on the up.

    R27 Knights game.

Going to the game is investment enough. As they say in the classics... I have a good feeling about this.

    R27 Knights game.

She'll be right. Knights have their spot and home final. Players will be rested. Plus give our guys some credit, it's not like we haven't looked like winning.

When will this end? Dragons v Storm Rnd 25

There was more talking going on amongst the players, particularly when shoring up the goal line defence. I was pissed off with the result but happy with the attitude. The team deserves better and hopefully they know it. It has already been mentioned that Melbourne had a high completion rate and...
