Their are weights and other skilll sessions they dont have to be together for. It is only one extra day. No biggie
My concern with that is the potential cliques that could form in the dressing room, overall team bonding could be harmed too. Also, where is Flanno when these split trainings happen, Kogarah or Wollongong? Who is keeping each group of players accountable and upholding standards? These are my concerns with it, because to be a real top team, the standards have to be met each and every day.

Flanno will have people in play to ensure. Physios conditoning skills people etc where needed
You are over thinking the negatives for 1 days training session

Im hearing you Parko but I agree with BLM01, lets not overthink it before we give it a try, I remember stories about a bus that used to take the guys to the gong, I remember Nightingale used to say they loved it because they could talk about many things, it didnt prove to become a clique. I'm all up to give something a go and see how it works out. Its not as if we are setting the world on fire doing what we are doing.

Personally I think there is simplicity in the same routine every day in Wollongong & one team.. plus its out of the sydney traffic, and they can live south side if they want to remain close.. then factor in some game days on a thursday or friday... but really whatever Flanno wants to run is his call.. im sure he's had lots of chats and weighed up the pluses and minuses. Maybe they will reconsider once that centre of excellence opens, whenever the hell that is..

you never know one Mr Flanno may have a few tricks up his sleeve and some of the future players that could be coming might already be Sydney based.

Would love for them to do something similar to the bus again, that was awesome and the team was extremely close that year. That was our last taste of finals football that season. But that's really up to the players to push and do. It would be great to see though

Well you dont really know if that is true, it is rumour speculation and the fact that he is contract they cant target too hard.
Just incase I have asled a physio mate that has coffee with him most Friday mornings to belt the truth out of him to see if this story has feet or wings. Lets hope it is just rumour mongering.
I agree Melb is a better run organisation and why any player would be interested and want out of our poorly run club. But he is under not much scrutiny here not like Hunt and Melb wont pay him the same money.
I also understand why Hunt wanted out but why was everyone so upset. I love the Dragons but I would do the same to go to a better run organisation cause that all it is to most players.
Well what I really know is, talks between the two party's have taken place for what I'm told is next year, so we will wait & see why that has happened.
Could it be Flanno thinks he is using too much cap for the return???
Or is a Goal kicking Cowboy in his sights for a return home??

It's one training a week, not all training. Trying to reduce the travel load on Sydney-based players, make moving to the Dragons more attractive in the process for those wanting to live in Sydney, and reconnect to Kogarah.
It should be AT LEAST 50% training at Kogarah . I was getting all excited and it turns out just one day a week? Nah not going far enough . Your either bringing it back to Kogarah or you are not which is it Shane

Suddenly a lot of support for Lomax. He has shown his ability and had a purple patch of late but let’s not forget what went before that. The 3 seasons prior we were all underwhelmed and frustrated with him. 99% were calling for him to be dropped.

Happy for him to remain and hope he continues this vein of form we all know he is capable of but let’s not forget that he has effectively robbed us of a lot of cap over the years as one of the comps most overpaid players.

I have no doubt Townsend is in his sights to compliment Hunt.
Talks maybe.. not surprising but thats is far as it went.

Curious how many days they actually train vs do video review vs gym work or physio.. most of that they need to be together... and then throw in the randomness of a 5 day versus a 10 day turnarounds between games.. playing on Thurs, Fri or the occasional public holiday Monday.. like they must have an admin sending every player a weekly schedule of where & when to be on each given day.
