    Round 4 Vs Manly

Anyone got any thoughts on why Clearys running game seems to have regressed? In 2019 (by far his worst year) his running game was really strong and he scored a bag of tries. That’s when there were calls for him to shift to hooker. Since then he’s rarely threatened the line. I get we’ve added...

    Round 4 Vs Manly

Grabbing the Aus spot could be really useful for Nath. I see Munster being an ideal pairing for his game. He’ll be able to do his thing without the pressure to pull a rabbit out of the hat and hopefully that can help his confidence in controlling the biggest games. For NSW surely the only...

    Round 4 Vs Manly

Particularly when a player had had a lot of injuries. They don’t follow the normal development trajectory so it’s hard to say how much they’ve progressed towards their ceiling.

    Round 4 Vs Manly

As far as I know he’s off contract after 2021 and while incredibly versatile and talented I find it hard to see him being prioritised when we’re going to need to find space for Kikau/Fish/Api extensions shortly along with possibly Leota and Edwards.

    2021 season

I probably shouldn’t comment because I haven’t properly read the rule but wouldn’t the development player have played in NSW/QLD Cup or Flegg typically before riding the pine as the insurance policy?

    Round 4 Vs Manly

Who knows, with Burton and likely May gone next year he could take that bench spot.

    Round 4 Vs Manly

Agree Staines needs a year on the wing but he long term I think he’ll be an incredible fullback. Great vision, decision making and execution. I’d go Critta. Might help get his season going as well. He’s been bog average. Give Leniu a week off for Sorenson and give Burton good minutes off the...

I also wonder if Kikau plays into it at all. Sure he might stay on for unders but damn he is going to have some monster offers thrown at him. If we know Billy is going to chase his payday it might be an idea to bet on Capewell longer term.

I reckon the Sharkies are looking pretty long at the moment. Would definitely back them to make the 8 at $3.

Round 2 Vs Bulldogs [THE MATT BURTON CUP]- Bankwest Stadium 3pm Sat

Wallace looks like he could step in if Kenny goes down. Love these brown/white practice strips. Would not mind it as an away/alt.

Round 2 Vs Bulldogs [THE MATT BURTON CUP]- Bankwest Stadium 3pm Sat

I’ve seen some chat about a wrist issue but doesn’t seem to be much solid info out there.

    2021 season

He had like 50 minutes so I doubt he missed out on any time on the field vs plan. He struck me as a poor mans Tamou (no disrespect he was very solid) while Leniu has slotted into the side as a rich mans Tetevano.

Round 1 Panthers Vs Cowboys - Panthers Stadium

Edwards, Cleary, Fish and Yeo at their usual high standard. To’o looked damn good and my god Leniu looks like he’s taken a big step over the off season.

Round 1 Panthers Vs Cowboys - Panthers Stadium

Maybe they want him in more situations chiming into backline movements to improve his ability to put his winger away as a centre? Clutching at straws.

    2021 season

Mansour out for Staines. May replaces Staines on on the depth chart. We're about even here. Whare, Aekins & Laurie out for Rennings, Momo. Turuva. Decent improvement here. Hetherington out for Hopgood. Wash. Tamou out for Leniu. Smith replaces Leniu on the depth chart. Arguably a wash pending...

    2021 season

Yeah I think the decision is way overblown. We were in the contest the first quarter, missed our chances, then from memory (haven’t brought myself to rewatch) had a few 50/50s go against us and the Storm took their chance and then we lost our heads for half an hour. I can’t remember a specific...

    2021 season

I think as much as a hot end to their last season the form of Taylor is what they really have to be hopeful about. If Taylor can start to deliver on some of his potential, Fogerty can be a solid foil and Peachey is still capable of breaking a game open. That’s a lot of ifs along with an...

Round 1 Panthers Vs Cowboys - Panthers Stadium

Api, Kikau and Hopgood were the guys that impressed me most. To’o also looked really sharp and Fish/Cleary/Yeo were at their usual standard. Awesome to see how hungry for involvement Kikau was. Hopefully having Capewell/May/Martin fit will allow us to use him in moderation.

    Penrith v parradontmatter

Their win over the Dragons at that. Agree Hopgood has looked like he could easily handle a bench spot. Kiks was very involved in his stint. Went looking for action which is awesome to see. Cleary has looked focussed, To’o and Staines have been good, Api sharp. Edward’s has been average. As...

    2021 season

I think we’ve managed Leota’s development really well. He’s had some great mentors to learn from, he’s had the luxury of playing off the bench for a long time while he irons out his game and now he gets to start in a stacked pack, next to a top 2 prop in the game and if he isn’t motivated...
