Be nice if we could unearth a couple of promising front rowers going forward, it still remains a potential Achilles heel. We seem to have more than adequate depth in all positions other than genuine front rowers. Another couple of potential Spencer’s coming thru would be handy.

He is a manufactured 9 though. It shows when he is out there so another season or 2 learning from Api would be a huge help if he wants a longer career

NRL careers are short, you really need to make the best of it while you can and maximise your earnings while you can. There is always another kid on the horizon, in our case perhaps Riley Smith although if he is as good at cricket as they say he is then the earnings at the top level of cricket far exceed what you can earn playing NRL so perhaps he elect a career there.

Read an article somewhere saying he wants to stay but at the same time wants to start which entirely understandable but not likely to happen while ever Api remains at the club.

He wouldn't be a walk up start at any club imo. Might fight his way into the 9 at the Dogs or Manly but its hardly similar to Smith holding back Harry Grant.

Tanner looks pretty good

Idk about Crichton's long term prospects at FB. I'm very confident Edwards will continue to improve his ball playing. I'm not very confident Crichton will ever stop bombing tries by being a ball hog. I think it's just a part of who he is like despite awe inspiring passing ability Hayne would still blow tries not passing. In regards to ball playing ability the tortoise might win over there hare in the long term here.

He'd be a walk up start for Manly at the very least.

On Naden I think he's done here unless he unleashes some special form after his suspension.

Mitch Kenny is a good hooker imo, there are starting hookers who provide worse service than Kenny, Damien cooks service is worse. Kenny has a bit of craftiness and he runs at the right time. Regular game time at this level would help his service a lot, the game is quick and fatigue is a factor. Even a guy like Brandon smiths service gets worse over the game and he gets a rest.

To clarify, I don't think Kenny is a bad player at all. I'd have him starting at a fair few clubs as well and he's about as good a backup spine player as you're likely to get in the modern NRL. I just don't think any club is going to see him as a walk up start. If he gets offers they'll likely be to compete with a few other players for one position. He might try his luck ofc, but I think he'll stay here for a while at least.

Why is May going?

As far as I know he’s off contract after 2021 and while incredibly versatile and talented I find it hard to see him being prioritised when we’re going to need to find space for Kikau/Fish/Api extensions shortly along with possibly Leota and Edwards.

May will stay i think. He is close to the whole Cleary family now, Nathans mum and siblings included, they all comment on his posts etc as if they are close anyway. Its hard for me to see him going elsewhere.

Forget next year. By then you may have another 2 or 3 talented players.
I like Burton in centre. If he performs well over the next 4 weeks he may take Momorski spot.
Momo,Jennings and Naden may all be back ups. Not bad at all.

That's dumb. Burton isn't taking Momirovski's spot. Burton is a left side player for a start and Momirovski/Staines are building a combination.

He's 10x the play Momo is. I'd back him either side

No doubt he's the better player. Even saying he could shift sides he's definitely gone next year so you're shafting the long term centre on that side and losing the relationship building that'll help defence.
