    Taxpayers should care who owns it. Why should they fund the redevelopment of an asset wholly owned by the AFL who run it for profit? It is a $300m taxpayer funded gift, that only acts to make the stadium more appealing, to entice more people & events to pay to use it and to increase the profits...

    Victorian taxpayers will probably have to first give the AFL half a billion dollars to refurbish the AFL owned asset, Etihad Stadium, now that is worth a petition.
