    It's no coincidence the swans lame plea for funding comes on the day the nsw government announced the centre of excellence funding allocation for NRL clubs. Problem for them is it was part of the stadiums deal to keep the NRL GF in Sydney for 25 years. AFL have nothing to offer.

    It is reliant on the club coming up with the money in the first place for the government to match. Since the government is limited to sharing $40m amongst 9 clubs, If they don't believe a club will have the funds to finish the project they will go with another submission.
