    Next coach sacked 2024

If the Bulldogs flop next year, you’d have to say it would be either injuries or the players themselves. I think Ciraldo has proven himself. That’s why the Bulldogs are a threat this finals series, because they’ve got nothing to fear and nothing left to prove.

Match Discussion: Round 26 vs North Qld @ Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville / Wulgurukaba

Yes, well done Storm! A major achievement that deserves greater acknowledgement.

    Rumoured Targets 3

‘Saint Tommy‘ makes a good headline for Manly, a club usually associated with greed and grubiness In the headlines. Old headlines about Manly remind me of the Englishman who rescued a child from a raging lion at the Zoo. Paper headline the next day: ‘Pommie Bastard Attacks Child’s Pet’.

    Rumoured Targets 3

Connor Watson talks a lot. Out of all current NRL players, he is the one the interviewers can’t shut up. But in saying that, he’s right. Competition for spots at the Roosters is cutthroat Compared to the Knights.

Fiji's bid for 18th NRL license

It is a fantastic nursery for RL. Suva has a reasonable ground, and the public following would be huge. There are just so many positives when you look at Fiji having a team in the NRL.

    2024 Ladder predictions

The race for eighth spot isn’t as exciting as it looked a month ago. Kevvie can talk it up as much as he likes, and Ponga can reclaim his Dally M form, but reality is Broncs, Knights and Raiders are done.

    2024 R25 Fri - Brisbane 30-24 Parramatta @ Suncorp

Why do the Eels always seem to go okay up in zbrisbane? If the Broncos have a bogey team at Suncorp it would have to be the Eels.

    Most likeable NRL player

Well, everyone loves and underdog, or the player that has more starts than Phar Lap and finally gets a break. Toby Sexton Jack Hetherington Jesse Arthars

    Sack Adam O'Brien

Well, there are some good brains looking at this from many different angles. But for me, I think the Knights are one of the best placed teams to get one thing right - win most of your home games. Over the past few seasons, look at the percentages of home games won by top 4 and top 8 teams and...

NRL Hall of Fame 2024 + 14th Immortal

Agreed, It took many decades for the NSWRL hierarchy to become truly professional and objective. Clubs were pretty much interested in promoting their own interests and taking ownership of the achievements of their players. If the Hall of Fame concept had been held from the start then we wouldn’t...

    Sack Adam O'Brien

That’s interesting. Thanks for that. Defence is even more important then if you’re not scoring points. Lack of initiative sums it up for me - Inability to break from the coach’s plans and structures when the play dictates.

    Sack Adam O'Brien

Hard to say where it’s all going wrong tbh, but the Knights have looked over-coached this year. Some of their defensive efforts have been abysmal with players hanging back looking at each other. A couple of the easiest tries in the NRL have been scored against the Knights this season. At times...

NRL Hall of Fame 2024 + 14th Immortal

that’s true, but you can argue all day about so many deserving players who’ll never get a gig. The NRL probably thinks it has caught up revision of the past and can now focus on modern era players to fill the next spots. For mine, there are still so many names that could be Immortals and HOFers.

Match Discussion: Round 25 vs South Sydney @ Accor Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park / Wanngal

It’s all been said, but the Knights recruited Cogger and Pryce to back up Hastings and Gamble, and we end up with Crossland at half. Oh, what a season.

fulton says - "you are a coward brohman"

Now there’s a thought. Is there a Grub representative team somewhere on this forum? Notsure if Slater should be Fullback or coach.

fulton says - "you are a coward brohman"

Oh Boyd was tough alright. Nobody wanted to tackle him when he was at full pace. And he absolutely pole axed bigger players with legit tackles. It is just a pity that the hype of the aggressive era went to his head and he made some stupid moves. There were two factors at play back then a) the...

    OT: Current Affairs and Politics

Trump reminds me of an arrogant narcissistic bastard back in junior footy days. We had a bus trip and we locked him in the baggage compartment under the bus. When we got to our Destination, the prick had rifled through all the baggage and eaten every scrap of food he could find. No f**king...

Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

Totally agree. I watch Ricky’s pressers for the entertainment value, but it is getting very draining. If it’s not the refs fault, it’s the NRL’s fault. If it’s not the NRL’s fault then it’s his players’ fault. It’s never ever Ricky’s fault. No wonder there’s always talk of discontent amongst...
