    2016 Crowd Watch

An unfortunate year. If Parramatta had not imploded off the fielding been in contention I think they would have posted very strong crowds and helped the averages of others

What is the Minor Premiership worth?

Should be the ultimate prize really imo. The grand final and playoff system is flawed and I believe first past the post is the true indication of a champion team and gives the season most integrity if played full home and away.

    2016 Crowd Watch

Thursday and Monday has destroyed the season crowd wise. Personally even on TV I find it a stretch. It just comes across as being any other TV show on 5 nights a week and therefore most games just become "missable". there's just no vocal point for each round at all. I don't think the Nrl...

    2016 Crowd Watch

Agree 100% Sadly the Nrl and broadcasters have no idea about competitive tension, sporting merit or competition integrity

    Super 8's

Just had a look at the crowd numbers for the first 3 weeks of the super 8's. The super league group has averaged 8,442 after 12 games. For a group that includes Wire, Hull, Wigan and Saints that's a total disaster terms of the average attendance and proves to me that how the top split operates...

ARU could cut the Force loose opening up Perth

I think it is more likely they will reconfigure super rugby with the current sides, politics in S.africa rules out dumping a side and to dump am Australian side would be a massive strategic retreat for that code. logically they should have African conf- current 6 saffa sides Australian conf- 5...

Should Australia have a challenge cup?

Yep 100% agree. always wondered why the various state bodies didn't collaborate on a knock-out cup tournament. The FFA cup has regionalised preliminary rounds were associations like northern nsw, act determine which if their sides progress to the national stage of the competition and potential...

    Challenge Cup 2016

Absolutely loved it when I went in 2012. Just had that special feel about the whole day even more so than the super league and Nrl and grand finals I have been to.

    2016 Crowd Watch

Personally I doubt I will ever see a first half of 6pm games. Maybe the last 15mins at most. People are not going to break work and personal routines for this game, it's just ridiculous

    2016 Crowd Watch

Yeah nobody is mentioning it outside this forums far as I an see. But when the draw is released there will be an explosion of rage from fans. it will easily generated the most wringing and headlines early next year, albeit wringing that is completely justified

    2016 Crowd Watch

Imagine Friday 6pm starts. I still cannot believe they have done it or why fox would push for it when 6pm is dominated by news programming. no viewers and no attendees

    2016 Crowd Watch

About par for the league at the moment for crowds imo. I don't have expectations of even half decent crowds anyone so it's a pleasant surprise when there is one. My Newcastle one is really conservative, being old boys say they could be closer to 20k despite their form

    Super 8's

I don't get how Wakefield can be allowed continue in super league next year. Didn't the Rfl have strict stadia conditions for super league yet they are likely playing out of dewsbury next year. A pity that Bradford flounder I'm the championship while Wakefield are in super league albeit on...
