    With all the disappointment around big Russ signing for the Tigers and Dugan to the Sharks it made me stop and think again about all our favourites over the years that gave plenty for the Red V but then up and left for whatever reason. Which ones over the past 30 odd years have really upset you...

    I check the nrl web site, Dragons web site, I'm looking at comments on this forum 20 times a day all in the hope that Russ stays with the Mighty Dragons. Personally I think he is the key to a great year next year. Our forward pack scares the shit out of most teams and with two world class halves...

    Complement it was. Just after any info you can share as you seem to know a bit about the contracts for both. Me like most others are simply speculating what could happen. Obviously I hope we can keep both.

    Agree, Merrin had a great first year with the Panthers last year but absolute crap this year. Seems unfit and carrying extra weight. Last week his first half stats were 24 minutes for 11 tackles and 3 runs (25m). I would go as far to say if he was with us this year he would be in jumper...

    2010, I have heard this as well from a few people however like you say it's just a rumour. Basically have been told Russell has made it clear he only wants to be a Dragon. Let's hope it is true, 2 year extension would be nice.

    With the player market going crazy the past few months it now seems everyone is pricing themselves as 'top quality" and want to be paid accordingly. Made me stop and think about chasing top dollar v career development and status. Plenty of players have left quality teams and gone on to bigger...
