    Please, anyone else in 2021

Lol! I can say it with confidence actually.

What do you think that I am trying to say?

As I’ve already mentioned; I have the utmost confidence in the Roosters to hang on to players they wish to keep, and to sign up those they desire all at the same time.

I could walk about in the streets of Bondi, Coogee, Randwick etc with a camera and microphone interviewing people all day; I guarantee you that I reckon at least 65% of the current day locals wouldn’t even know who the Roosters were.

Nah, not really. It only “tugs at the heartstrings” when a talented player that could herald a new premiership winning era at an underperforming club such as the Tigpies is snatched up by your c***s. Re: Tamou, if he was a Roosters Jnr, then he obviously was unwanted if you let him go to the...

I reckon the NRL probably also somehow financially incentivise him to stay down there for the age-old but ultimately futile endeavour of trying to promote Rugby League in the AFL heartland, but a thought also occurred to a mate and I over beers last night so I digress; there’s also probably the...

Rumoured and Confirmed signings - Part 4

Couldn’t agree more. We still have the likes of Yeo, Crichton, Mansour, Naden etc to secure beyond 2021. I know we need forwards, but Christ! a West Tigers reject? I hope Ivan knows what he’s doing.

On contract renewal, If he gets the same or less salary offers from other clubs and is happy to stay at the Storm, than that’s a different story altogether, but I very much doubt that is the case. I have a theory as to why Bellamy is still with the Storm and I believe it has f*ck all to do...

Christ, Strawmen arguments even from fellow Penrith supporters. As an NRL coach, if you were offered the same salary - (or possibly more if you were given extra financial incentive, possibly from the NRL) - wouldn’t you enjoy the challenge of delivering an NRL club from it’s cellar-dwelling...

Well I guess it’s only “fair” if you don’t happen to rate Bellamy and the culture he instilled at Melbourne as a genuine advantage over other clubs. But unless the Storm are somehow rorting the cap again or using performance enhancing drugs, it’s pretty hard to deviate from that aforementioned...

So if what you’re implying is factual, then why do we have a need for a salary cap?

Let’s see, Bellamy is a great coach... Have I got it right so far? Coaches are a pretty important part to the overall playing roster, culture and confidence of the club in general, Am I getting warmer? The Melbourne Storm (Aside from the years that you’ve cheated by rorting the salary cap) Have...

Well it means that underperforming clubs might get a chance to contract the services of one of the best Head Coaches and coaching staff in the National Rugby League, unlike your club holding on to them for umpteen years...

Well, that’s one opinion I guess. I was really happy that Luke Priddis won the Clive Churchill medal in 2003, but I’d have been even happier if he’d been a Penrith junior. Moreover, hypothetically, if the Panthers relocated to your city, do you think many Penrith fans would still follow them?

Yet you want it both ways by setting up your own junior development programs and poaching another club’s local juniors? I was genuinely gut wrenched when Tedesco jumped ship to join your mob. I’m not even a Tigpies supporter, yet I genuinely felt for them. Ergo, as I’ve already mentioned, the...

Because the current system isn’t working.

    Please, anyone else in 2021

Yup. Have always been in favour of an AFL draft like system to keep the comp fairer. Mind you for it to have any chance of success; 1. Clubs at the bottom of the competition ladder come end of season should always get first pick of the draft. 2. The draft should also include coaching staff.

Yet the juniors of other clubs are still fair game for the Roosters when their talent is recognised and they come off contract with the club that nurtured that talent... James Tedesco a good case in point.
