    World Cup Squads

Crikey the Cooks have more than a decent side. If Johnno Ford can direct traffic they have more than enough firepower and genuine speed out wide. Tetavano, Napa & Makatoa in the middle could lay the platform for most sides.

    World Cup Squads

Wales squad named. Yikes. Twenty years ago they had a mixture of world-class key position players with a sprinkle of handy Super League regulars. Plus a fair chunk of those lads were born and bred. When they made the Four Nations there was a crop of decent Crusaders guys who went on to have ok...

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

This forum has way too many keyboard warrior nerds for a rugby league website

    World Cup Squads

    I disagree with a few selections but hopefully, the first choice 17 looks a little like this. 1 Tomkins 2 Makinson 3 Watkins 4 Farnworth 5 Young 6 Williams 7 Sneyd 13 Radley 12 Bateman 11 Whitehead 10 Burgess 9 Ackers 8 Thompson 14 Welsby 15 Knowles 16 Oledzki 17 Batchelor

    World Cup Squads

Probably 6 or 7 outs due to injury at this stage. The big ones are Walmsley & Lomax, 2 world class players.

    World Cup Squads

Tomkins is there purely for leadership. No matter the number on his back he will play a lot of 6 and 7 in attacking sets. Decent short-kicking game. Hall was the 5th choice Winger for the chooks a few years ago and he isn't even in the Top 10 finishers in Super League. Defensively sound and...

Lol Segeyaro. Edwin Ipape is going to light this tournament up.

Ireland team named. 1-13 looks solid but the rest of the squad look pretty thin. They should make the quarters.

FIFA Confederations Cup style international tournament

PNG have done it several times actually. 7 games in ten years is too small a sample size.

FIFA Confederations Cup style international tournament

This Confed tournament should switch hemispheres every second year. You can have a world beating Tonga, Fiji, Samoa but until France are *competing* against the top sides regularly, Touring and hosting in packed 15-20k boutique stadiums with a bees dick of local media coverage then league will...

FIFA Confederations Cup style international tournament

Big call on not filling stadiums mate. Excluding a genuine international side from this proposed tournament would be a bit short sighted imo.

    World Cup Squads

Miski has been a very solid second choice winger for the last few season. He would start at most SL teams.

    World Cup Squads

The key is the halfs. Take Moses and Douehi out of that 17 and on paper they are no better than Wales, Jamaica etc. I am surprised Chieka got the time off from the Pumas tbh. I hope they go well.

FIFA Confederations Cup style international tournament

I think a six nations tournament would be too many games played. Also for international interest a minimum of 2 Northern Hemisphere teams outside of England should qualify. France 100% need to be involved as they can financially afford to host and tour.

    Attendances

Surely, if marketed correctly. Especially with the larger Lebanese, French and Greek communities in north London.

    Attendances

The organisers are getting what they deserve. So many perfectly sized boutique stadiums in the south that could have done a job for them. I would have used a 20k football stadium in London and Ashton Gate in Bristol for some of the higher profile pool fixtures.

    World Cup Squads

Tony Gigot is one of the most rocks and diamonds halfs in the world. Kicks more 40/20's than anyone in SL or NRL and can be Cody Walker like on his day. If you guys underestimate France (and you will) they could absolutely take you into the 70th minute. Set your alarm clock. I think France have...
