I’m going to predict 42k at the Emirates thanks to a late ticket surge with The Rock in attendance sitting next to Prince William. At Elland Road let’s say 25k Fingers well and truly crossed

Just an idea. Pool sorted by random result. * indicates Double Headers. I've included conservative crowd estimations. A Australia (host) England Ireland Jamaica *Australia v England Sydney 40,000 *Ireland v Jamaica Sydney 40,000 *England v Jamaica...

A million ways to pick that apart. This is not Thatcher's Britian. The economic realities of England rn are not significantly different anywhere in the United Kingdom outside of an SW post code.

The Game 2023 Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos etc

bruh. The social harm due to alcohol and obesity is 100x worse than 1% of Aussie punters in this country who have a gambling addiction.

FIFA Confederations Cup style international tournament

IRL should have a hard and fast rule that Tier 1 side play minimum 3 internationals per season. The old four nations worked because it was short and sharp while the tri nations in the mid 00's was probably too many games over too long a period. Its really not hard to schedule ffs. Lets lock...

    2023 Eight Nations

Great minds think alike. Any future international tournament involving more than four teams must have France involved in some capacity. The upside is huge on their development. The ROI is like Japan, Argentina and Italy in rugby.

This pipe dream stuff with Hawaii is never happening.

    2029: NZ & Pacific. 2033: USA.

What is possible for a NZ & Pacific Island World Cup Eden Park (final) Mt Smart (3 pool games, 2 Quarter Finals) Wellington (semi final, 1 pool game) Christchurch 18k (3 pool games, Quarter Final) Hamilton (3 pool games, 1 Quarter Final) Dunedin (semi final, 1 pool game) Rotorua (3 pool games)...

It is not feasible for Samoa/Tonga/Fiji/PNG to 'host' (aka not just a one off game where they are playing) a genuine international tournament.

And there NEEDS to be an 8-team Confederations Cup-style tournament alternating hemispheres in between World Cups. I'm fine with all these heritage-based faux international sides. It is what it is, but they need these players to stick it out for a period of time for there to be any real...

A 12-team tournament should be the future. Especially for France 25, where I just can't imagine there being that much interest. I would be shocked if any game in any stadium gets a 30k + crowd. Even the Final. Even if they give away tickets. I say that as the biggest fan of the french league...

"Shop window": obscure players who are boosting their career this RLWC

I would be shocked if Evans isn't in a Super League squad next year. He would be cheap as chips. Campagnolo for Italy looks the goods. I think he is in a NRL system now. Tony G for France is off contract and can cover 1,6,9,14 at a pinch. I would like to see him at a big english club again or...

    IRELAND & CHEIKA

Brilliant coaching by Chieka, how many one-on-one steals did Lebanon have? Hopefully, risk-averse NRL coaches take notice of how to maintain a share of possession. So impressed with the Cedars' shape on both sides of the ruck, consistently dangerous by applying mental fatigue to an Irish side...

I think a more geographical spread in smaller stadiums would have massively benefitted ticket sales and interest in the event. I would have to given York (8k), Bristol (10k), and a suburban London soccer stadium (15k - 20k) a few games each

    World Cup Squads

Crystal ball novelty prediction. Dwayne Johnson jumps on the Samoa bandwagon, flys in for the final and that profile boost alone gets the World Cup in the highlights package of ESPN, Barstool Sports take an interest, and in the Tik Tok age that we live in, for once the world will take notice for...
