    RLWC 2025

The perfect Rugby League world cup doesn't exist... Hold my beer. Rugby League World Cup hosted by Australia, Fiji. Papua New Guinea & New Zealand (Samoa & Tonga do not have the infrastructure to host a tournament IMO) I have randomly drawn the remaining expected qualifying teams and thrown...

They do not deserve anything mate. So many people on these forums have zero understanding or broadcast needs, insurance costs and the stadiums required for staging a tournament of this magnitude.

    RLWC 2025

Hopefully two pools of 5 with no convoluted seeding system or super pool. Some short turnaround mid week games during pool stages to make it a 6 week tournament from start to finish. Australia & New Zealand as 60/40 joint hosts with a opening ceremony at Eden Park with all the bells and whistles...

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

I'm not going to let this go mate. Matsushima - Japanese mate, went to school in both South Africa & Japan. Gu - Korean Japanese, raised in Japan Lee - Korean Japanese, raised in Japan The Tongans - Citizens & mostly schooled in Japan. I have herd Makisi & Tatufa in interviews and they are...

France can also host games and tournaments and are lightyears ahead of any other European side.

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

Going by your logic 99% of international teams in all sports would be seen as a piss-take. I was born in Australia to Australian Anglo parents. I grew up in France, Germany, Australia, and the UK. I lived most of my late teens and adult life in the UK. I currently live in Australia. I am a...

If we can get 50-55k into Old Trafford then this tournament has been a rousing success imo

Excellent. Shame we will see a significant downward trend in France. With the rise of Samoa and Tonga since 2017 I kinda wish we had a New Zealand sole host for 2025.

London is a tough market but outside Chelsea's home ground. Most football stadiums are either 90 - 60k big bobbers or 20 - 25k boutique stadiums. The Emirates was a good choice. Great venue with easy-to-get public transport.

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

Again mate, most of those Tongan-born lads have been in the Japanese system since high school, Matsushima is Japanese. Full stop. A few of the other anglo last-name boys are mostly naturalized citizens. The Koreans are Korean-Japanese. It's called migration and it's the way of the world.

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

The argument that Matsushima is somehow not Japanese or is as Japanese as James Tedesco is Italian or whatever your point is, is so fkn cringe. He grew up in both countries went to school in both countries. Has a Japanese passport. Japanese is his first language.

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

No, they wouldn't. 1. Matsushima is Japanese 2. Gu & Lee are Japanese from Korean descent. 3. All of those Tongans guys grew up and have been in Japanese systems since high school. 4. The rest are on residency grounds. I believe Leitch and Miller are citizens. You're not the fizziest drink...

You have a good point. I would have had 2 games at a London 20k football stadium like Loftus Road or the Den (big Aussie/Kiwi hubs and Greek/lebanese communities in those surrounding suburbs) Bristols Ashton Gate 27k for one of the bigger profile pool games (England v France maybe) and St Andrews in...

France will be ok. If Toulouse does not come back up they will still have 25-30 Super League standard professionals by the next World Cup

I don't know what the development of Pacific Island football has to do with England, Dom Young or Radley? Your other points are really not true. At all.

There has been little to no 'development' of Tonga and Samoa in the last fifty years my guy. 95% of their talent, resources, and infrastructure comes from Australian / New Zealand-born and developed players and administrators in the Australian & New Zealand systems. This has a shelf life of...
