I think it’s time Madge brings on Watson, Robson looks abit gassed

Match Discussion: Round 19 vs Manly @ 4 Pines Park, Brookvale / Cammeraygal

I think perhaps the point he was trying to make is if you compare the recruitment strategy of manly they’re clearly favouring athletes, you look at guys in their squad like Olaakauatu, Paseka, Talau, Garrick, Koula, Saab, Bullemor, Navale, etc all were recruited from outside the local junior...

Match Discussion: Round 19 vs Manly @ 4 Pines Park, Brookvale / Cammeraygal

Hosking and Sasagi I agree but Kiraz I feel probably should’ve gotten a debut in 2021, he was playing NSW cup as a 19 year old and more than held is own. That year AOB was picking the likes of Kurt Mann and Brodie Jones in the centres instead of giving someone like Kiraz a go.

Match Discussion: Round 19 vs Manly @ 4 Pines Park, Brookvale / Cammeraygal

To be fair Moceidreke is a big, strong winger who unfortunately lacks all the other attributes required to be a first grader. I’ve said this before but I feel a big issue in our pathways is that transition from aged based footy to NSW cup is where a lot of it is going to hell. The last 2 years...

Match Discussion: Round 19 vs Manly @ 4 Pines Park, Brookvale / Cammeraygal

It was never going to end well, you’ve got Hastings who’s slower than most front rowers and Marzhew who’s got the agility and turning circle of a cruise liner against Turbo, Garrick and Saab. My issue is that it was blatantly obvious that the edge trio just weren’t going to be able to offer any...

Bombing is a generous description, more like chipping them the ball

Are we literally scared to put up a contestable kick?

At this point you have to change something even if it means moving Pryce to defend on that side in place of Hastings as he’s obviously abit quicker and can slide

AOB needs to make a change, manly are making breaks at will literally every single time they go down that side.

I understand we have most of our backline out but to me the fact we don’t have depth in nsw cup is a big issue. A guy like Wilson Decourcey should’ve been fast tracked instead he played Flegg then was dropped back to Sg Ball in the hopes of helping them to a title, where as most of the top...

Our left edge defence is like SG Ball standard, makes you appreciate what Best brings to that side defensively

Match Discussion: Round 19 vs Manly @ 4 Pines Park, Brookvale / Cammeraygal

To be fair we have exactly zero players who are any remotely decent under the high ball. When’s the last time we got the ball back off a short drop out

Almost as bad as Reece Walsh against the Wahs

I can see Votano having a Jack Wighton type career path. Wighton played a lot of fullback, played centres and eventually transitioned to a running 5/8th, Votano has a similar body type and attributes from what I’ve seen

I’ve always maintained that halves are the hardest position to predict future success based on junior accolades, I remember guys like Jacob Miller, Harry Siejka, Kane Elgey, Moses Mbye, Luke Brooks, Brock Lamb, Jack Cogger, Jake Clifford, Tanah Boyd and Brodie Croft were all supposed to be can’t...

He’s a big unit, 6’5 and around 105kg, good work rate, physical, can offload and hard to stop close to the line. Unlike alot of the forwards that have come through in recent years for us he’s got the physical attributes to be more than just a solid player. What kind of player he turns out to be...

    Knights Lower Grade Stuff

So Australian schoolboys championships concluded today with NSW CCC dominating NSW CHS in the final with Jack Hillier one of the try scorers for NSW CCC. Cody Hopwood started in the front row for NSW CCC and from all reports was one of the players of the tournament and named in the Australian...
