    Rumoured Targets 3

our top 30 recruitment was an unmitigated disaster in the off season, we had a heap of guys coming off contract and instead of being aggressive in the player market we signed Gagai and Clune (who was meant to be a back up). I really want to know what the plan was outside of hoping Luki and...

    Sack Adam O'Brien

oh for sure, he's got a very simplified role and is part of a very strong forward pack. Melbourne are very good at developing middle forwards but simplifying things.

    2022 Knights Rep Players

I don't understand how a starting front rower can be much of a victim of their team.

Welch only played 1 game, that same game Jesse Bromwich, Brandon Smith and Tui Kamakamica were all suspended. Literally all their other middles beside King have missed some football, Bromwich, Nelson Asafa Solomona, kamakamica, Welch, Moeroa, Grant, and Brandon Smith have all been either injured...

not sure if youre aware but the Walker brothers havent coached for a few years now, Ben Walker is presently a real estate agent in Toowoomba

    2022 R12 Fri - Brisbane 35-24 Gold Coast @ Suncorp

I noticed young Campbell has a tendancy to crab sideways on kick returns especially coming off his own line, needs to learn to just get low and take his medicine

    Sack Adam O'Brien

was that as a result of AOB or just natural physical development?

Match Discussion: Round 12 vs Warriors @ Moreton Daily Stadium, Redcliffe

He's a better middle defender yes but in a 20-30 min spin he's not that much better to offset his inability to cover backline positions nor his attacking threat (or lack there of). It really is a sad state of affairs when we're picking a bloke whos about the same size of Sam Walker for no other...

Match Discussion: Round 12 vs Warriors @ Moreton Daily Stadium, Redcliffe

that too long was 40 minutes....... Not that I'm a Hoy fan but what atrributes does Crossland have that makes him a better fill in hooker than Hoy?

yep, looked decent there too, the game against the broncos was probably the best I've seen him

    Knights Lower Grade Stuff

with the number of injuries we've had in the backs I'd argue we'd be better served having someone with some backline versatility so we're not forced to play Barney in the centres. I get your point about covering hooker but is there that big a difference between having say Crossland covering 25...

Match Discussion: Round 12 vs Warriors @ Moreton Daily Stadium, Redcliffe

At least Watson gave you a genuine running threat and foot speed, Crossland is a low, low end athlete with little to no running game and also doesn't have any real utility value. I don't see what he brings and I also don't really see much a ceiling either in terms of potential.

    Dom Young

pefect example of why we need to just take a punt on high end athletes who might have a steeper learning curve as opposed to the low end, high effort plodders we usually target

    Rumoured Targets 3

hes actually been clocked as one of the fastest forwards in the NRL, had a max speed of 36.1km last year which is right up there with many outside backs, his mobility us why the dogs moved him to the edge this year. I'd imagine they see him as a direct replacement for Barnett as a hot headed...

    Rumoured Targets 3

signed till the end of 2024. I think we'd be best served to slim him down and try to bring abit more mobility into his game, right now he kind of just runs hard and straight like a battering ram, there's very little finess or variety to his game and its not helped by the fact that Fitzy...

    Rumoured Targets 3

i actually think we give our edge backrowers decent ball in good spots especially on the left side when Ponga is on his game, the problem is those good opportunities are wasted on plodders like Fitzy and Jones

Match Discussion: Round 11 vs Brisbane @ McDonald Jones Stadium, New Lambton

i think its a 2 fold issue, firstly Clune's kicking game is diabolical, secondly we have some absolutely dumb footballers who literally don't know where the ball is half the time when i kick goes up, instead of having intent on the kick chase to either contest or to smash the opposition...

    Rumoured Targets 3

same with a guy like Herbie Farnworth, moved to Australia as an 18 year old out of high school and is now one of the best centres in the game. I think talent wise and as pure athletes the English lads are right up there just need abit of time to get used to the extra physicality in the NRL, and...

Team vs whoever we're losing to next week

I actually don't mind him out of dummy half as a runner but he needs a full off season there to work on his passing which for a guy who grew up playing halfback is pretty shocking and his physicality. Crossland is nearly 22, has had atleast 3 pre seasons with the top squad and isn't much bigger...
