    Good point. You can be negative about V’Landys if you like and I’ve criticised him in the past but he has a much better track record of getting stuff done. 20 teams is a very big goal. But it’s achievable.

    Neither. I’d back an American comp in maybe 2-3 years. If we get to 20 teams a more realistic timeframe would be like 6-8 years. I’m open to being pleasantly surprised

In a lot of cases there is also massive and severe substance abuse and also linked mental health and post traumatic issues...

    Did I actually ever say it was certain. Heck I don’t even think PNG is certain. Nothing is certain in life - you should know that. I’d say that the reports are encouraging yeah? Think a little bit more positively for once.

    Mate there has been no mention of Brisbane 3 or Melbourne 2 for the last 6 or so months. That seems to be a trend as well. I really would have thought you’d be happy. It’s more likely than not that we’re going to get a Perth side. Be happy.

    I’ll be astounded if they are not at this stage. I also don’t like the idea on the surface but there have been a few political and social instances that could have led them easily to go nope not ready but they haven’t pushed back

From the back end of last year, there are multiple articles pointing at PNG, Perth and NZ 2 (occasionally as some sort of weird Pacific Frankenstein option) as the next three sides with the Bears involved somewhere.
