    Speaking of our juniors, our Harold Matthews side (under 16's) beat Penrith on the weekend. Pretty sure we've never beaten them before in that age group. Making it even more remarkable is that I think (and KBW can correct me if I'm wrong here) that at least half the squad need to be genuine...

    Yeah that up down sh*t really bugs me. We had basically rubbish from 1983 - 1995, making the finals once in that time. Then 9 years straight of finals with Freddie from 1996 - 2004. So all consistent periods until then but real roller coaster since. Will take it over that '83 - '95 period...

    Yeah agree and to an earlier point you made there is some sort of connection with wombats, not sure how formal that is. There was also an arrangement with kinsgrove colts too where players not required for 20's would go but not sure where that's at. I know paddo colts have designs on filling...

    He did, but that was only because Clovelly didn't have a side in that age group. Played for the Crocs from a very young age.

    Yeah in truth Wesser was the difference that game. Made a series of long range try savers, mostly on Ryan Cross from memory who was working his way back after consecutive year ending leg injuries in 2001 and 2002. Jeez I had the sh its with Henderson for a long time though.

    I reckon it was round 3...that kind of started Penrith's run that year and that match turned on an absolutely ridiculous penalty he gave away. My warped mind kind of always partly blamed him for costing us that premiership because of his idiocy in round 3. Maybe I should let it go...
