    When he is trying too hard, he is at his worst. Just amazes me that after 200 plus games he struggles to read a game effectively.

    No Gids hate, but it apparent that his best days are log gone. I have some sympathy as he is expected to play a position he isn't able to, but tough decisions need to be made and people are paid big money to make them. It's a tragedy it's come to this.

    No surprises really when was the last time a Melbourne team was touched up by the refs, never I would say. It's the utter predictability of it for me. There is only one tem that loses penalty counts at home and that's us.

    Just disappointed that it's come to this with Gids, he's a liability, everyone knows it and no one has the brass ones to fix it. Benny needs to step in for everyone's sake, including Gids.

    It's hard to believe but I am so past that now, the NRL has killed it for me. The same teams get a leg up, the refs make the same mistakes and the NRL make the same excuses, it is so utterly predicable its now no more realistic than the WWE.

    Just Smith playing the manipulation game, sowing the seed that the ball carrier made the mistake not the tacklers. You can be sure if Gids tried the same trick, the refs would have shortened him right up, but they are afraid of Smith so he gets away with it.

    This. I couldn't agree more, the NRL is utterly determined to kill the game through inaction. You can be assured that Bellamy would be coaching the team in rank opportunism and ref manipulation added and abetted by refs who are happy to be manipulated so the "right" teams do well...

    Are the refs and their support staff patently incompetent! Surely when they review the matches they can see how stupid their good for nothing square up penalties are seen for the fraud that they are.

    The tragedy is that both teams are doing the same things but we are the only one getting pinged. If Bennett doesn't start bringing this issue up EVERY time he speaks with the media then it just feeds itself, the same thing happened last week and there was no square up.

    Relax, either way we are good and if Tinks falls over, Wests have already said they would step in. They have a stronger business than Tinks it would seem and I agree with Perverse, there would be a lot of sponsors who wouldn't deal with HSG but would with Wests. Rio want to expand Warkworth...

    Agree 100%, it's been a theme of mine for quite some time. If you roll over, you will get screwed in this game. I believe a number of the high profile coaches use a media blow up to secure leverage with refs. They know that refs will be on notice just in case the rant is proven justified...
