    Trial v Rabbitohs

I have been very impressed by Hame Sele early - quick strong runs through the middle. In fact, our pack has been great so far.

2019 Junior & Tarsha Gale Women's Comp Results

A very different SG Ball side to the one from last year I'm pretty sure. May be the same for the Roosters but they did finish undefeated last year in the Ball.

    2019 Discussion

Not sure if posted yet but 2019 jerseys are out - far cleaner and simpler than last year I think - our sponsors coordinate perfectly with the colours of the jerseys. Hertz logo not being a big yellow block is a bonus...

Rumoured and Confirmed signings - Part 4

Concerned about our depth up front next year. That's probably Tamou, RCG, yep, Kikau and jfh starting which is great but Leota hethro Ellis and Egan/Katoa bench is unpredictable and inexperienced. I do hope we announce one more signing for the new year because we can't rely on grant or mckendry...

Rumoured and Confirmed signings - Part 4

A pity but was bound to happen.

    Injury update

James Maloney to undergo spinal surgery to relieve pain and weakness Penrith ace James Maloney will undergo potentially career saving neck surgery this week. Panthers officials were privately worried that a chronic neck injury would cast a cloud over the long-term future of the 32-year-old...

Edwards or DWZ for fullback next year

Personally I still think Edwards but he also hasn't developed a great passing game yet. I just think it's the best option for the team at the moment and we can still utilise DWZ's power from kick returns.

    2019 Draw

Agree - Cowboys and Eels were supposed to be tough games (and we had both last year) but they finished in the bottom four, which made our draw softer at the end. Our draw may appear tough but by the end of the season, be easier than we though and vice versa.

Same. I usually associate captains with being calm, collected, in control. DWZ is at times the complete opposite but he has the intensity and purpose in his game that any good captain needs.

    2019 Draw

We've been quite lucky recently, only getting the Broncos, Storm etc. once a year even if away from home but I do agree. 2016 was the last time we played Brisbane at home (23-22) I think and 2015 against Melbourne at home (0-20). Also would love to see two games against Eels, Tigers and...

DWZ named captain for NZ squad against Australia this week.

    2019 Discussion

If they lose this week's GF I am very fearful they win next year. More pressure, same squad - they'll have to. If they win this week, however, they'll suffer from the premier's curse you'd hope and Melbourne won't win without Slater anyway.

Rumoured and Confirmed signings - Part 4

Interesting point, although it's not as bad as it looks. Cronulla entered the comp in 1967 too and since then have had: 6 over 200 2 over 300 53 over 100 Parramatta entered in 1947, they've had: 37 over 100 12 over 200 I get your point about the constant turnover definitely but we're not as...

Finals Week 2: Sharks vs Panthers

Melbourne barely coming up with any errors... we made Cronulla look good by giving them plenty of chances close to our line. Storm also far better in defence.

Rumoured and Confirmed signings - Part 4

Exactly. He comes off contract 2021. If we want him as a coach for then, then we have every right to make a play. The Tigers do too. They can't place the blame on us because if Ivan is given the choice to stay or go and goes, it says more about his own personal decision then greed from us. I...

    2019 Discussion

Kikau is massive but we need to have more variety in attack then just passing short to him and hoping he'll do something. That's an observation I made from the Cronulla game as until Blake scored, they wrapped him up quite well.

    2019 Discussion

I don't know what else we can do though. Even if we offload Merrin, the priority seems to be retaining players.
