    2021 Qualifiers

I know the winner of the games go through to the world cup, but who goes through to the Asia/pacific play off?

    GB Tour on for 2019

I'm not a fan of tours, but if they're playing against minnows like PNG, PIs and NZ on this tour than that's not the worst thing. I'd hate it if they only play against club teams and only one nation , that is completely pointless

RLIF Showdown could lead to breakaway Tests

So the main tournaments have been confirmed, Rugby League World Cup in 2021 and 2025 (already common knowledge) Kangaroos Tour to UK in 2020, Kiwi Tour to UK in 2018 and 2022 and Lions tour to southern hemisphere in 2019 and 2024 (Not a fan of tours but what's done is done) 9s World Cup in 2019...

    Cook Islands

It should be a case by case basis on how best to help each country out so they can then help themselves. The RLIF could help out with giving equipment, resources, training days etc to help that nation become self sufficient, but blindly throwing money at things for no long term development...

RLIF Showdown could lead to breakaway Tests

I know, I was pointing out that before the RLIF was like that, but not now. There's a lot more diversity thank goodness and it looks like things will change even more.

RLIF Showdown could lead to breakaway Tests

The most important thing is getting the right balance between club, national and governing body representation. We can't have conflict of interests what we had before where it was just made up of the NRL, NZRL, RFL etc, but also not a situation in other sports where Independent directors have...

    Draw Announced for ENWC

Latin Heat will also be playing in a side tournament with ASEAN, Africa United and Mediterranean/Middle East Rugby League.

NRL clubs 'furious' they have not been consulted on AUS v TON in NYC

I think the main issue here is communication by the ARLC, RLPA, national governing bodies and clubs. There's been no official confirmation for this match but through various external media releases and even fans themselves are confused. At the start of the year when the NRL schedule is...

    Ireland to cut heritage players

There's no clear cut answer to the heritage vs domestic debate. Teams should be able to field their strongest teams, but domestic players shouldn't be shunned as well. I believe teams can pick heritage players, but the long term (10 to 15 years) look to add born and raised players to their...

    NRL Proposes International Shake Up

This is what I think of the proposal The Good A new Oceania Cup in 2019 featuring round robin matches between New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga to be played during June and October. Retention of the traditional Australia v New Zealand Tests. England to tour New Zealand for a three Test...

NRL spreads International game to Campbelltown

I went to the game and the atmosphere was fantastic! The game being played in Sydney is good for the NRL for several reasons; 1. TV Ratings 2. Big Pacific Islander communities 3. NRL Pacific Youth Summit and Pacific Youth groups are set up by the NRL to help PI communities in Sydney. 4. Best...

    Pacific Test thread

Awesome atmosphere the Pacific Tests this year! Surprising result with PNG over Fiji and Tonga showing their class over Samoa! Singing and performances definitely showed and the passion of the Pacific Islanders showed that the Pacific Tests are getting bigger and better! Almost 18 k for the...

Past thread on how you developed your interest in International Rugby League

My was a little bit different, I remember playing Rugby League 2 (back on the PS2 console) and seeing "exotic" nations such as Malta, Russia, Lebanon, USA etc on the roster. I was blown away with how many nations were playing the game and decided to do more research and started following forums...
