    No. The TV deals are structured very differently which seems to be beyond the understanding of most here. The TV ratings for FTA are down slightly. Crowds are down a little but still way ahead of NRL.

    Apples and oranges. On Sundays different markets get different AFL games on 7 The 297k rating is for Melbourne v St Kilda which was on in NSW and VIC at 3pm SA got North Melbourne v Port Adelaide QLD and WA got Gold Coast v West Coast

    The ratings were low, but as per the broadcast agreement the FTA simulcast was a two hour delay in limited markets. Anyone wanting to watch the game had already watched it on Fox/Kayo.     I didn't troll anyone, you guys are the ones saying AFL ratings for a 2 hour delayed telecast in limited markets were poor. I merely pointed out the equivalent NRL ratings were zero.

    If this forum if any indication of Sydney, people talk about AFL all the time... it's like a hobby to talk down its ratings or popularity. How about sticking to the equivalent NRL ratings result: The Dragons v Storm game on Saturday rated a 0 on 9Gem in Melbourne.

    I didn't bring up the AFL ratings, I just corrected the misinformation posted by others. The RL games I watch generally involve the Storm; I wasn't aware there was a requirement to comment on every game?

    I just don't subscribe to the "us v them" narrative peddled by V'Landys and followed by most on this forum. Both codes can be successful and it's not a crime for fans to enjoy more than one sport.

    Saturday AFL games are exclusively live on Fox. This figure is for delayed telecasts on FTA in limited home markets. Why the obsession with trying to deride AFL?

    They don’t show ads on Fox apart from quarter and half time breaks. I was referring to FTA games on Seven.
