    Those early shot were concept shots from a company vying for the contract to make the game i think. I reckon they are just rendered images of posed models, not shots of actual gameplay.

    A must feature for the next version

    Anyone who has played Jonah Lomu rugby will understand why jumpimg for bombs is such a great feature. Me and my mate would sometimes play games where you were only allowed to score from the high ball, so getting a clean run through and an accurately timed jump were essential......and bllody fun...

    i reckon more options in defense would be nice, ie a button to bring the fullback close behind the line if you are expecting a chip or grubber, and pressing the same button again to send him back deep. I am assuming there are less buttons used in defence. since you dont need 2 pass buttons and...

    About the new video

    Video was great, the game looks fast, frantic and fun! One thing I did notice was there were no tackles where the defender fell backwards with the tackled player, all the tackles either had the attacker on his back or standing firm. Also how come some kicks didnt use the matrix slow down...

    Is it possible to miss a tackle, on the demo you could not?

    Have you downloaded the videos available on the net? If you havent you should check them out (www.rlgame.com) and you will see a lot of tackling, and failed tackling in them. In the tech demo you could actually "miss" a tackle when the player with the ball barnstormed over the top of you!

    Defensive Concept

    I agree with Sheep, I think it would soon get annoying. I think having limited control of your teams current defensive attitude and formation would be a good idea. Things like pressing a button to call the fullback up close behind the line if expecting a short kick, and pressing the same button...
