    I know what people are saying about Dyl and a year ago I'd have agreed. My main gripes with Chins statement are a) I think his ball playing in particular got a lot better this year and b) there are some very ordinary attacking fullbacks running around.

    To write something, this is probably the easiest choice well have. Imo there's a pretty significant drop off post Edwards. Wesser had an amazing season or two, but fell off hard.     I get what you're saying, but only one of them is a convincted criminal at this point. If I remember rightly, Flash did a bit more than just sort the boys out with some gear too. Which saddens me as he was one of my all time favorite Panthers.

    I think signing Talagi makes sense in the context of Luai leaving. I love our hard-working team but you need just a touch of unpredictability with the ball. Talagi has a bit of that flair that we'll be losing with Luai and I think the club has recognised that as valuable in the right doseage...

    I agree with the thrust of this, but you could come at it from the other direction. Guys like Langlands, Raper, Gasnier were that good while working day jobs. How good would they have been if they could focus on footy professionally, benefiting from modern medical practices and sports data...

    Yeah there's definitely question marks over Stephano but you'd be crazy to write him off at the Storm. I think we're a bit better at polishing rough diamonds, but they're not far off and when Stephano is on he's elite.

    With all due respect to the legend, I'd have Luai over Brandy. Having the best defensive halves pairing in history has been a big factor in our success imo. Probably the key variable in whether we can go again next year is if we can get Talagi up to speed in this area.

    2024 Grand final Panthers vs Storm

    Just on Tago, he would have been in my list of guys who had 9.5 games (Yeo, Martin, Kenny, Alamoti etc) if it wasn't for that dumb facial penalty. He was pretty much perfect outside of that.
