Man’s our and To’o for me.

The one season of Amos Roberts was something to behold, I remember that season fondly.

On the scrapheap at the Dragons. Was
one of the best bargain basement signings in NRL history.

He even spent time in the halves at some point. At the end of the Dogs game at home (An all time classic match) and the week after against Manly from memory. Very talented player.

And the 'almost' tackle from Sattler v the Tigers was a great moment too.

Its all subjective of course, but the way I see it the centres decide the wingers. Critta can play both, but good though his defence is, Girdler was our best centre followed by Brad Fittler. Critta gets a wing spot and To'o the other.

Fittler did everything Critta did but at a younger age and played rep football at a younger age.

Lewis would make the bench as a brilliant utility.
THIS/\ there's no way critta doesn't make the team, and both centres are basically spoken for with girds & freddy, I too had Lewis as a utility

Always good to reminisce about past players.

One of our worst goal kickers was Chris Hicks.

77/129 for 59%.

We can be thankful he had his kicking boots on against West Tigers in 2000.
We were down 31-8 and won 32-31.With Puletua running rampant in the 2nd half. Hicks kicked 6/6. With 3 of them from out wide.

After To’o I think Rooney, Lewis, Roberts, Critta and even the Limmo were guys who had 1-2 great seasons on the wing but really just didn’t spend enough time there/at their peak to really consider. It’s gotta be Flash or Sauce for mine, not having a detailed memory of the 80s and early 90s.

Flash was a beast and my fav player at the time but he played 60% of his career elsewhere. Mansour is absolute top of my list of Panthers who did the most for this club without getting a ring. It still makes me sad that we had to terrorise him in that late season game against Souths in 2021. That was basically the end for him and he didn’t deserve to go out that way. Getting the ring in 2020 might have been enough to hang them up but not to be.

To'o
Gordon

There are a few ways the backs can play out, but while he doesn't qualify for the fb role, I can't leave Flash out of the team entirely. He was such an underrated player (outside of these circles), but he was incredible in his time for us. Very strong and so hard to bring down, seeming to just shrug tacklers off sometimes. He was also extremely quick and great in the air. One of the few consistently bright spots in our of our darker eras. A better time with coaching and injuries and (similar to Edwards) I think he would have gotten so good that the media couldn't have ignored him.

To'o is obvious. Pocket rocket that provides the fuel that powers the unbelievable engine were still in the process of witnessing. Probably the easiest pick of this whole process.
