    I don't know which way to go with this one. Sloan is brilliant in attack but it must be deflating to team mates when he continually fails to make the tackles and clean up the loose ball that most top level fullbacks would do, or at least put his body on the line in the attempt.

    For me the dragons suffered from poor defence and a failure to get into the grind. Sloan failed to tackle the Hammer in cover for his first try. Sua's miss on Nichols for his try was terrible. Just basic one on one misses. You can't afford these mistakes against tough Bennett coached sides.

    I'd like to be proved wrong but a loose canon and a lazy defender for mine! Not what is required to establish a positive culture in the club. Some on staff at the club have had experience with him so I guess it's their judgement call.

    Initially I was disappointed that we missed out out on AFB but when you considering the massive money he would be on, and that he would not arrive until 2025 and then such a long term contract at his age? Also, his track record doesn't scream stability and commitment to his terms of contract...

    That was a massive blow missing out on AFB but it is just so hard to attract players to a club that is perceived to have the poorest roster in the NRL. On the flipside though if you look at AFB'S record we were never going to get a committed clubman for our mill + per year.

    We need this guy even if we have to pay overs. I'm sure his signing would make the dragons more attractive to other potential recruits. No elite playmakers or backs want to play behind a popgun pack with no go forward.

    Fonua Blake has all of the attributes we need in a front rower and a forward leader, as long as he passes the "No DHs" test. He appears to be the forward leader we desperately need and would increase our appeal as a destination for other recruits.

    A drive past St George Leagues Club tells the story of where Doust and his mates are leading this club. Hasn't changed in 40 years. Old and drab....same as the current dragons.

    Flanno been there and done it.....too many of the boom rookie coaches fail when put in the top job. Let the rookies get their experience elsewhere.

    Another disappointing display. Even when we win with Ben Hunt we have an aweful, boring under 7s style of play relying on give it to the big kid (Suli) or the fast guy (Ramsey) and individual skill. We don't seem to be able to construct tries by getting a roll on then cohesion and skillful ball...
