The ball travelled atleast a foot forward.

Finch was basically directly over the 40m line as he passed it, the ball travelled forward to be caught atleast a foot or two ahead of where he was standing by Carney. He was behind the ball when it was caught.

That said it was a brilliant game right down to the end... but Finch sure as f*ck cost the Country team a win IMO.

Watch the replay guys, it has definitely been thrown backwards out of finchs hands, his natural momentum of running at the line in the way he did, is why the ball floated forward but by the letter of the law, it was clearly backward from the hands and thus, legal pass

Not sure why Raiders fans are defending the pass... Todd Carney didn't f*ck up the pass. Finch did. Carney regardless of it being slightly forward made an exceptional run to score.
