I tipped the Warriors as an upset but in saying that my other upset was the Panthers so who knows.
Warriors play well in Melbourne though.

Melbourne beat the Warriors 30-12 the last time they played here, round 3 2007 Cam Smith's 100th game and Melbourne still have most of their try scorers from that game they're only missing Matt King.I tipped the Warriors as an upset but in saying that my other upset was the Panthers so who knows.

the poor Warriors they left temps of a nice 22 degrees to end up in 39 degrees.Ice777 said:It's going to 39 again here today and they're leaving the roof open. It's gonna be a tough slog with the decrease of the interchange's especially for the big boys.

The Age believes there has been a poor response to tonight's game at the Telstra Dome with pre-sales indicating a crowd well below the target figure of 20,000, which would make for a lacklustre kick-off to the Storm's premiership defence.
NZ Warrior said:In all fairness, it's probably going to drop to around the mid 20's by kick off. This won't trouble the Warriors, who have had to endure a very hot summer over here.
I'm glad that the roof will be open though, for the players' and the crowd's sake.
Ice777 said:If there's not a cool change due in then you're dreaming if you think it'll be only in the mid 20's come game time. As mentioned in another post it was still 33 at 9pm last Thursday night so expect much the same if there's no change coming in.
As for the crowd figures, playing it on a Monday night at the TD was always going to go against getting the best possible numbers. Whoever it was who decided to schedule our first game on a Monday and at that venue needs to take a long hard look at themselves.
Fair enough if OP wasn't available but why wouldn't you play it on Saturday night? I would've said Sunday but that would make it clash with the GP, but if it were on Saturday night i think the figure would be a lot better than it will be tonight. Personally i'll be happy with 15K tonight when it should've been more.

Still heat isn't going to be as bigger factor as you would like to think. I'd be more worried about you guys trying to win more than 1 of your first 5 games. Something that the last few Premiers before you have failed to do.
