problem is we're struggling without an organiser and graham is about our last option, as for why Sammut isn't an option...well 2nd tackle kick to no one.

I guarantee you those penalties wouldn't have been awarded if it was at Penrith.

Classic case of the favourites getting all the slack.
That's a load of crap. Penrith never have calls like that go in their favour.

We receive the least penalties of any team... and are high up on the most penalised list.

I tend to agree with a lot of what Gould says, but having a go at us for taking a field goal?! We were playing crap and wanted to get out of the game with 2 points, which we did! Fair dinkum.. pretty harsh.

And Matt Johns.. 'so brave these Panthers boys' .. we got the point after the 3rd time he told us.

Some soft penalties at the end went our way, but that's footy nowadays. It's a dead set lottery with decisions. I'm just thankful the luck was with us tonight, because who the hell knows what's going to come next week from the AAMI crew.

I also thought that the ref's have responded to the popular 'give the markers more leeway to stop dummy half running', because Penrith were offside at marker about 15 times without being penalised.

Of course, next week they will crack down on something else and completely forget this week's crackdown.

Having the shot for two points from the sideline was ridiculous though, we seemed to lose our way there and I thought we shut down with 5 still to play. Take the win though....

With some of the soft SOFT calls against the panthers tonight that directly led to Dragons points you have to wonder about the referees. Seriously, that high tackle call on gasnier, the "lifting" tackle on creagh, the "holding back" penalty in the dying minutes.... it reeked of a refereeing team with a grand on the saints.

That, paired up with the absolute red carpet treatment draw the dragons have had over this last couple of months (melbourne, Brisbane AND Titans without their SOO stars FFS), if this dragons side cant make the finals it will be a miracle

EDIT: Too many beers.

The decisions you spoke of didn't lead to points. Open your eyes.

Yeah I didn't agree with the decision to take the 2 there. A bit strange.

I guess we'll have another week of hearing that we beat another understrength side. Ah well. and if we beat the Titans sans Prince and Laffranchi, and if we win down in Melbourne with the aid of a second half southerly wind, and so on.

Still can't believe we are where we are. Who'd have thought ay?!

Do you think for one second if it wasn't a Dragons 'home' game, those same decisions would have been made ? No chance.
I could see the 'home' ground advantage working overtime. lol
Cut your losses GKD.
No homies at Homebush.

Dragons have had a dream run over the past month - Souths, Origin ravaged Storm & Broncos and injury ravaged Panthers.

They would have lost 3 out of those 4 games if their opposition was at full strength.

Is this a joke or what, the dragons always beat the Broncos no matter who is playing the dragons have been depleted 4 times out of the 6 times they beaten broncos who always been full strength.

Wake up

It shows fans from other teams are jealous that the dragons can play with out thier playmakers and other teams cant

The only game what would have been in doubt was the storm game other then that the dragons would have beaten Broncos , Penrith no matter whether who was playing for them.

parrammatta is the luckiest team, they had help from the officials in most of thier wins

Why is the Brisbane/Melbourne Origin thing a concern at all? St George Illawarra are missing three of their key players during Origin as well... they still perform and get lambasted for having "draw favouritism"? Please. The Bulldogs are a more likely candidate, we get the Roosters before Origin III and had the Titans before Origin I. Teams without their Origin players should never use that excuse as a cop out - those left on the park should play 100% and clearly in some cases that doesn't happen.

As for last night, the Dragons won fair and square - they copped it big time from Maxwell in the first half and it evened out in the second.

Wow Ben Cummins has let himself go. He's morphed into an identical twin of Jared Maxwell!

Ok Ill have a bite, nah actually ill have a big chomp

You are the biggest moron I have ever seen on this forum....

You run your lil mouth each time the dragons win and then run off as soon as you are challenged by someone which tells me your nothing more than a lil kid who never gets his facts right. You talk about how the dragons will beat sides by 30+ and when I have tried to make bets with you, you run off or say "I may be stupid but not that stupid".. which clearly shows your full of crap.

The dragons are not as "great" as you make out to be.. if they had lost last night it would have been "Oh Clarkey was the VR (video ref..just for you) that game didnt count"..

You cant say for sure you would have beaten Brisbane or Penrith full strength.. no one knows that for certain. Fact is you won by a point against a depleted Panthers and 18 against an even more depleted Broncos.

2 weeks ago you said Manly were the luckiest team in the comp didnt you? Now because a Parramatta fan posts something negative about your beloved dragons, Parra are now the luckiest in the comp. Shows your maturity...

This whole pathetic argument about the dragons being disadvantaged is a load of crap... Sure they miss Gasnier and Cooper but have a look at who the opposition has out ..alot more than just two CENTRES. They have their Halves, Forwards and other missing as well. Its would be like Brisbane fans saying that.. "oh we were disadvanged because we missed Hodges and Boyd" ..

So yes they have been extremely lucky with the draw, even the most die hard saints fan would admit that surely.

* Depleted Melbourne
* Manly
* Souths - siren went 1 min earlier while souths were on the attack meters out
* Depleted Brisbane
* Depleted Penrith
* Depleted Titans

If anyone else has had a more favorable draw Id like to see it..

Yes you can only beat what is in front of you.. but to suggest your team is anything but lucky atm is seriously wrong.

The sooner your banished from these forums the better imo.. your nothing more than a stirring troll. The decent Saints fans would be better off without you.. and lately your the one giving them a bad name

Bicey, get off it. Penrith still have Wesser, Jennings, Lewis, Civ, Pritchard, Waterhouse... they've got a few missing through injury but it's still a decent footy side and they put up a good fight to another good footy side - the Dragons. They're obviously playing good football at the moment - they'd have to be to be sitting pretty in 6th spot. You play the hand you're dealt and Saints have done so and are sitting well. The two points is what matters at the end of the day, and Saints have a larger collection of those wins now.

It's more than luck, it's improving together as a team and they did that, irrespective of who their opposition was.

You said it... "They have a few missing" ... in regards to Penrith

So you dont think that playing depleted sides had anything to do with getting to where they are now? Get off it.. if they played those team at Full strength they would have won? Please..

When they come up against full strength sides like Melbourne in melbourne and win then sure.. until then i think most would agree, they have been lucky

Look I have no problem with Dragons fans being happy that they have won 5 in a row.. good for them. What I do have a problem with is morons (Gaba) who come here and say their team is the almighty and claim other teams are lucky when that smacks of hypocrisy...

He's not - everyone is calling Saints lucky and whinging about the draw and he's trying to defend them.
