they were standing behind bay 57 - 58 area in the western stand. i was down on the fence, they were standing up in front of the bar. just some toothless knuckle draggers. not anything to be too concerned about, but there were a few parents with kids grimacing at a few of the calls from them.

O ok thanks for clearing that up.

Sean Hampstead is a f**kwit of the highest order. Neil Henry didn't go far enough with his comments.

A couple of issues that I will raise:

1. Benefit of the doubt to the defending team after Justin Carney has the ball blatantly stripped. Should have been no try and a penalty.
2. David Simmons blatantly knocks on gathering up the chargedown. Ben Ross scores next play. Should have been a scrum to the Raiders, and the try is never scored.
3. Misi Taulapapa is the lowest, dirtiest merkin to ever step on the football field. He blatantly took out the best player on the field and deserves a massive suspension. It was just as bad as a king hit on a player not looking. If he doesn't cop more attention than Riley Brown did after his hit on Craig Wing, the media is a joke. Taulapapa should have been sent off and Sean Hampstead is a gutless, incompetent prick.
4. Mitch Brown knocks the ball backwards, the ball goes dead in goal. Should have been a drop out, blind, biased video ref rules a 20 metre restart.
5. Luke Covell drops the ball cold over the line, has absolutely no control whilst his unseen hand hits the sideline before the ball touches the ground (I was at the ground with a clear view, definately hit the sideline first). Try awarded.

That's 3 tries the Sharks have received that were never tries in the first place. The Raiders wasted plenty of opportunities, but the facts are we were shut out by a refereeing performance that is at best hopelessly incompetent, at worst flat out biased.

3. Very stupid thing for Misi to do...
4. Didn't the Raiders player knock it out of his arms, then hit it into touch?
5. No you couldn't have been able to see if that was a try to Covell, it happened to quickly for anyone to accurately judge.

And there were clear forward passes for the Raiders first couple of tires...

1. Benefit of the doubt goes to the attacking team, in this case it was the sharks.

How? Unless they're using that ridiculous, antiquated ruling where it states that the attacking team is the one who is closer to the opposition's goalline. You know, the one everybody says is ridiculous? Otherwise, the benefit of the doubt went to the defending team. How can there be benefit of the doubt though when the replays show that there is no doubt - the ball was knocked out by the Sharks.

2. They didn't show many replays on the coverage, not sure on this occasion .

Definate knock-on, but would have taken eagle eyes to spot at normal speed. I'm OK with this call.

3. Very stupid thing for Misi to do...

It's a dog act - something becoming synonymous with Cronulla lately. Perhaps he felt that somebody had to make up for Gallen's absence.

4. Didn't the Raiders player knock it out of his arms, then hit it into touch?

Brown lost control, and then the ball hit Bronx Goodwin. Knock on Brown, unless you're saying that the split second that the ball hit Goodwin constituted him taking his advantage.

5. No you couldn't have been able to see if that was a try to Covell, it happened to quickly for anyone to accurately judge.

Clear as day mate, and besides, the replays conclusively showed that Covell had absolutely no control anyway. He dropped it cold over the line.

And there were clear forward passes for the Raiders first couple of tires...

First one went back 2 metres so I don't know where you're coming from there... second one I'll agree with. Pomeroy's try in the second half also came from a forward pass, so that evens it out.

I'd also like to send a brickbat to the Sharks fans in Bay 71, particularly the two middle aged women near the front. You are the most disgusting, foul-mouthed, rude and quite frankly abhorrent fans I have ever come across at a game of football. You bring shame to the rest of your otherwise fine supporter base.

Seriously skeepe, shut the f--- up.

You whine needlessly and weekly about ref's. If there's ever been someone on here that has their rags more than me, you've earned the title.

Canberra were NOT good enough to win tonight, it's that simple.

Apologies Timmah, I believed this was an open forum. Didn't realise that I had to conform to your strict posting guidelines.

As a passionate supporter I will not stand idly by whilst my team is continually given the rough end of the stick. Week after week after week we cop bullsh*t calls, and I won't hesitate to point them out for all to see.

No, the Sharks were too good for us in the end, but they shouldn't have scored as many tries as they did.

Does this post conform to your strict posting guidelines, or does it require modification. All criticism will be accepted, mein Furher.

Lets all put our heads in the sand and convince ourselves that the Raiders are the ONLY team to get tough decisions in any football game. Give yourself an uppercut. Deadset.

I'll bite. At NO time did I say anything about how you post or whether or not your opinions were allowed or not. Don't use that defence because it's as transparent at the Raiders defensive line was tonight.

As a passionate supporter perhaps it's time you stepped back and realised that your bias is just slightly over the top. Sure, we're all a bit over the top sometimes, a bit blind... but this from you has become incessant and almost childish.

You need to take a look at the game before coming out with the dribble that it's the NRL and everyone associated with it against the Raiders. EVERY team gets dud calls from ref, some get more some weeks, some get more other weeks. You haven't pointed out ANY calls where Cronulla got a bad decision against them - are you suggesting Cronulla were 100% favoured by the referee and had nothing called wrongly?

Fair roll of the dice skeepe, that's all I'm saying. There's at least 4 or 5 people so far tonight who've given it to you for the carry on and with good reason. I've outlined it above - it's my opinion and clearly that of some others, take it or leave it.

Apologies for the waffle but hopefully you get my drift.

Fair enough. I apologise for the misconception.

All I'll say further is that sure I may be biased, but why on earth, in a time when we are told that the game is in crisis, that the fans aren't getting out to the games or doing enough, would you want a fan to lose some of his passion? It beggars logic. We need more people like me.
