Warriors by 20+.
Manu to cost us 3 tries and score 2, make a heap of destructive hit-ups, throw a couple of geniused passes in our 20, give away at least 1 penalty due to getting over-excited, and show his gold-toothed wry grin after at least one of the bumbles.

The winning margin in this one will be either 4 points or less, or over 18 points IMO. I just cannot pick it - when you think about it, both sides have such an enigmatic quality at the best of times.

With that in mind, considering we've seen good and bad from the Warriors this year but only bad from Manly thus far (when it comes to straight out results), I'll tip Manly to win. Not confident at all, though.

If Kite starts the game again and Willow and Bryant are on the bench I will walk down to Brookvale from Eight Mile Plains and strangle the life out of someone...

NZ plan to Out-Witt Manly:roll:

The Warriors will be looking for an ex-Sea Eagle to condemn Manly to back-to-back losses at Brookvale Oval for their first time since 2006 when the two sides clash on Monday night.

Michael Witt, who helped engineer a win over his former club the Eels last round, will be aiming to repeat the dose when he takes on the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.

“I don’t really think about playing my old side anymore,” Witt said.

“I’m really happy at the Warriors and I think these early games are really important, especially at the back end of the season when trying to get a top eight or top four finish.”

Witt will go head-to-head with NSW star Jamie Lyon in an intriguing battle of the halves that could go a long way to deciding the outcome of the game.

“Jamie is a class player,” Witt said.

“He has copped a lot of criticism with people saying he should play in the centres so I am sure he will be determined to have a great year and cement his spot as a great half in his own right.

“It is going to be a tough game against Manly – they are looking for their first win of the season and Brookvale is a pretty hard place to win at.”

The Warriors have won four out of their last six matches at Brookvale Oval, but Manly have made it a fortress in recent times, winning 11 out of 13 at home.

Witt believes a simple game plan will work to the Warriors’ advantage.

“The key to winning the game will be playing smart football,” he said.

“If we can hold on to the ball, as we showed against Parramatta we can score plenty of points.

“We just dropped too much ball against the Storm and paid for it - when we hold on to it we are a dangerous side and hopefully we can put in a good performance and take the points against Manly

What right does Des have to be sh*tty? He's the one playing Brent Kite in the backrow and having Willow and Bryant on the bench! And don't get me started about our 5/8th...

More like

Jason King - > 2nd Row
Anthony Watmough -> Fullback
Brett Stewart -> Wing
Michael Bani -> Hooker
Matt Ballin -> Front Row
Josh Perry -> 5/8

Brett Stewart > 5/8, David Williams fullback is what I would want to see, but it won't happen
Des will not move Lyon !

Jason Wells 5/8 for mine. But:

a) Lyon is a protected species at 5/8; and
b) Jason Wells could walk on water, Cure AIDS and score 70 points in the NSW Cup all in one week and he still wouldn't get a look in.
