Storm by a larger margin than our enthusiasm suggests it should be. Like the Broncos game. Fans like us will always think we're a chance, but I doubt we'll be within a converted try of them for most of the game.

Would love to be wrong, but it's a big ask.

I think the Storm have this one covered. They have probably lost their quota at Olympic this year.

I tend to agree :(

In saying that, there's nothing to be ashamed of if we do lose. We wont be the first team to lose there this year and we sure as hell won't be the last.

Exactly..

You just have to look back to when Manly and Brisbane travelled down there and are probably of the better sides in the comp.. they didnt get close to the Storm which scares me.

Storm 26-4, Storm 28-8.. Manly and Brisbane respectively.

Ill be surprised if we get within 20 of them imo.. I surely hope thats not the case but its probably the most realistic.

Manly were not in best form, and they were grand final opponents. Brisbane defeated them in 2006 grand final, Storm will always be up for the Broncos now..

Then they play us, expected spooners, hopefully they think it will be a usual win just by showing up, if they do that we can get them...

:sarcasm:

as much as i like seeing the top teams lose to underdogs, i cant possibly see the storm dropping this one, if they do it will be the biggest upsets, but storm at home, playing like they r, bellamy at the helm will be too strong, but knights wont be soft on them, storm by 12+

one thing i am supremely confident of is that i'll be proud of my team after the match. that is such a refreshing feeling. like every other game this year - we'll keep coming at them no matter what's on the scoreboard.

i may have to rethink my decision on who will win, storm have a truckload of players backing up from the test, and apparantely its easier to backup if its within a close time period because adrehanaline gets u thru, but a few days after is tougher, reckon it will be close, knights topled ladder leaders titans, so storm by less than 8

2005- Melbourne 48-10 @ Olympic
2006- Melbourne 52-6 @ Olympic
2007- Melbourne 44-0 @ Olympic

We'll definetely improve on those results and i'm sure we'll be competitive in this game. Melbourne will have to work VERY HARD to get those two points. It's unlikely but i'll back us in this game with a fair few Melbourne players backing up from the test.

If you win this then it will only be because of the Storm boys getting tired from backing up after the test.

Hopefully Storm will field a full strength team and if they do then the Storm backline will be too strong out wide.

Another stat the Knights will have to overcome on Monday Night: The Knights have never beaten the Melbourne Storm without Andrew Johns:( Infact, I was lucky to attend the last time the Knights beat the Storm (in the back end of 2005). Knights won 37-18, Joey was on fire and was awarded a 10/10 rating from RLW.

Already trying to make excuses for a possible loss? :p

The game in which we scored an equal amount of tries and lost out on goal-kicking? I'd take that kind of result against the premiership favourites.

Which is a possibility. If you haven't put us away by around the 65th minute mark and we're still within a converted try, we'll be a big chance. We've appeared to finish games full of running this year and with the Storm having 8, possibly 9, players backing up, thats where this game could be won.
