Nope, it just supports the thesis that the competition should be shortened; perhaps 22 rounds. If it were, Parramatta would not have been in this game.

The competition rewards inconsistency in the season proper.

Either make it 32 rounds, with a first past the post system. Or reduce the number of rounds for a finals series.

What a match. Great crowd, great contest. Bulldogs defended grimly in the first half, and deserved their half time lead, but in the end the Eels' second phase play was just too much to hold for 80 minutes.

I don't understand. Dragons won the minor prems, but were woeful their last few games. Is that consistency?
