If he could throw a punch he would have knocked Vidot out. He hit him at least three times before Vidot knew what was happening and all three landed on the chin.

I would put them down as the worst punches of the year tbh. You would at least want to put the guy on his arse but Vidot still managed to clinch him.
See, that's where you're wrong. He felt sorry for him so only hit him half as hard as he could have ...

BUT THE OTHER GUY DID SOMETHING AS WELL SIR

Rogers is a cheapshot merchant. Vidot did nothing to warrant that attack.

yeah Rogers is a cat, and untalented hack who is a disappointment to see in the red and blue each week. I agree wholeheartedly
but you think campese dropping elbows to heads like it's wwe, and harrison's disgusting and blatant rip on taia's shoulder were any better?

Enjoy Mad Monday.

Good to see the decisions evening up.

After that brawl it was also good to see the FIRST INFRINGEMENT penalised. Too often refs overlook the first infringement in a string of incidents.

Knights try, 30-14.

Actually you fruitcake, they missed the first infringement. The FIRST infringement was Rogers unleashing a vicious elbow that connected with Vidot's head. The elbow led to the push, which led to the disgraceful assault that should have ended Rogers' season on the spot. The fact that he got to come back on the field at all was a f**king disgrace, matched by the fact that the Knights were attacking the head all f**king night and getting away with it, matched by the fact that despite the constant cheap shots, high shots and spear tackles by the bunch of criminals wearing blue, the only player on report is a Raider who did absolutely nothing wrong.

So Timmah you oxygen thief, you have just done the very thing you so vehemently accuse the referees of doing, that is missing the first infringement. Love the way you just had to mention me in a thread that I really hadn't participated in as I was at the game though. Get the f**k over me mate. Seriously, it's getting beyond pathetic you pillock.

That was a great performance by the Raiders tonight. Shillington was absolutely fantastic, I laugh when I think the Roosters cut him to keep Mason and O'Meley because he contributed more in one game tonight than those two have all season.

Daniel Vidot is an absolute star. What he did in the first half was gobsmackingly amazing. I fully support his actions after he was the victim of GBH by that thug Ben Rogers, who is surely the biggest thug to play the game (although Isaac De Gois, with his uncanny knack of putting all his weight on a player's neck as he gets up to play the ball runs him a close second). Vidot did absolutely nothing wrong out there, and if he gets charged with anything it will be further proof that there is a conspiracy against the Raiders. Ben Rogers on the other hand, well he's lucky he's not looking at a gaol sentence. Launches a vicious elbow into the temple of a player who's not looking, and then a flurry of punches that could have broken Vidot's jaw. If Ben Rogers plays again before round 20 next year, then the NRL have absolutely no balls. A minimum 20 week suspension should be mandatory.

Josh Dugan was again fantastic, highlighting why he is far and away the rookie of the year. His attack continues to develop apace, but it's his defence that has him head and shoulders above anyone else to debut this year.

I would love to see these guys in the finals, and while we won't see it this year, I get the feeling that we won't be waiting very long at all.

Yeah, why does Campese keep doing those things that exist only in your mind.

I know losing sucks but you are aware that the Knights will not make the 8 if they lose next week. Kind of weird insult to use to be honest. Your season is pretty much as big a failure as the Raiders at this point. More so probably because the Knights just chucked it all away at the end. Choked if you will.

Campese dropping elbows? I didn't see a single one. I did see Ben Rogers swing his elbow at Daniel Vidot's temple, which led to Vidot pushing him. I also saw Ben Rogers unleash a vicious assault that, if it were on the street, would see him behind bars for a number of years.

I also saw for the first time how disgusting a player Isaac De Gois is. No matter where he makes a tackle, even around the legs, he won't get up until he has both hands pressed firmly on the back of the player's neck and uses it as leverage. What a f**king disgusting team the Knights are.

Oh and Harrison's blatant rip on Taia's shoulder? Give me a break. His arm was underneath Taia's, and Taia had already dislocated his shoulder (which Harrison clearly couldn't know). I challenge you to provide any resistance to any movement whatsoever when you have a dislocated shoulder. It looked to me like Harrison was just disentangling his arm and, while it was an unfortunate look, he did nothing wrong.

it was in the first half when campese was tackled right on the knights try-line. It would have done no damage was due to houston? holding campese slowing down the play-the-ball.

houston, I might add, should have been binned in the 2nd half for repeated infringements. He must have had about 5 penalties blown against him and should have been many more.

Why are all the Raiders fans trying to make Vidot's knee sound like it was nothing? I cringed the second I saw that because it's a massive, massive no-no (I dont understand the saying "no-no" either by the way but thought I'd use it anyway). I understand trying to defend yourself, but at the time the knee came out he was past the defending himself stage.

The refereeing was horrible, cant quite understand how some people think it only went one way though - pretty much every call in the last 20 minutes was designed exclusively to get the Knights back into the game. I agree that the Raiders received some ridiculous penalties as well though - the problem is that the referees are simply hopeless.

Probably because Ben Rogers is a dog who teed off on Vidot at least 5 times before Vidot even knew a fight was on. Once you dog shot a bloke like that and start teeing off on the blokes skull, imo, he has ever right to use what ever means he deems fit to defend himself.

Knee's cant be tolerated in league so he'll face a charge but given the circumstances of being attacking without provocation and the fact the lash out was self defense, a lesser charge that sees him out for a week max will suffice. Ben Rogers should be looking at 5-6 weeks imo.

Enjoy Mad Monday.

 hilarious stuff that

I mean if the knights dont win next week (50/50 game), they are sitting out the finals with us... and if they do win, they get the "honour" of delaying their mad monday for a single week before being shoved out the back door in the first week of the finals

Unless you run 1st, 2nd or last, you're in the also rans like us. Because no on remembers who came 7th as opposed to 9th or 11th.

I hope the panthers smash the knights next week, although Ben Rogers being out will hinder those chances

FTR i also noticed Campese dropping what looked to be a forearm, didnt look like much in it, no real intent, just one of those things that happen in RL, i thought we were lucky not to be penalised but didnt think it would have warrented more then that.

There were a number of knights incidences the same, it was a fairly spiteful game watching. Lots of niggle and cheap shots on both sides. The knights also need to watch their tackling style a number of tackles could have be penalised for spear tackles, none of them serious enough to warrent charges but you dont want to be giving those ones away in a do or die clash next week

haha, once again, it never fails 'we will be a force next year!!!!1' oh look, another bottom 8 finish. Have you guys got the memo that you actually have to finish in the top 8 to win this competition you guys drone on about? Even when you guys do make you do SFA.

Oh and Harrison's blatant rip on Taia's shoulder? Give me a break.

I think the funniest thing here is, is that every single person on this forum knows if it had been the other way around, a Knights' player doing that to a Raider's, you'd be going nuts

You guys cant be serious about that Harrison thing can you?
This is RL occasionally things like that happen. The damage was done as he hit the ground, like an accidential high shot, it was probably a penalty because Harrison did put the shoulder in a bad position, but there was no intent or malice in that, purely accidential with the momentum of the tackle. I'd be shocked if he has a case to answer... but then again the judicary are a joke so i wouldnt be all that shocked

You're probably right but i for the life of me cant see why, if anyone should have been cited in that tackle, it was probably Croker who did retch the arm back trying to turtle Tia, but the damage was long done.
Harrison had a hold of his arm and with momemtum of the tackle ended up forcing it in a bad position. I think a penalty was sufficent in that case. JMO

If Harrison is charged it's an absolute joke. Taia was injured as soon as he hit the ground. Bronson was merely disentangling himself. It looked bad, but there was absolutely no intent there. It wasn't a Storm-style tackle.
