Are the NRL stats correct?

Linebreaks:
Raiders: 1 Newcastle: 4

Missed Tackles:
Raiders: 30 Newcastle: 17

:?

Tigers and Panthers must be happy!

Tough game for the Broncs next week...

No knees, no problems

LOL tell me how he could have defended himself

They were clinching when the knee was thrown. His hands were tied up in trying to stop Rogers from punching his face in. Did you miss the fact Rogers hit him at least 3 times before Vidot even managed to get his hands on him.

Rogers king hit him about 6 times before Vidot responded in any way at all. How can you deny him the right to defend himself in that situation?

his knee didn't even connect to start with (unfortunately).

if someone king hits you and continues to hit you, you should be allowed to do anything to protect yourself

The fact it does not connect does not matter. A player who throws a leg out to try to trip a player is penalised regardless of contact.

You can defend yourself but expect to be binned for kneeing. If you look at the footage again. Vidot has both hands on the collar of Rogers when he tries to knee him so the excuse that he had his hands pinned is rubbish. Vidot should have gotten 10 minutes, Rogers should not have come back. Can't believe you are still defending a knee. What if Vidot bites him on the face? same thing?

Vidot tied him up in a clinch to stop Rogers punching him. It was the only defence he could make at the time. Rogers would have broken it though because Vidot had just been punched 6 times in the head.

I am only defending the knee because I feel it was literally the only real defence Vidot had besides trying to take Rogers down to the ground.

vidiot could have found a broken bottle on the ground and stabbed rogers if it was in the act of self defense

Don't agree. Rogers was not throwing any and players all around were stopping him throwing more. Vidot could have thrown a couple of punches.

Only by letting go of Rogers who could have potentially unloaded a few more hits.

Vidot wasn't controlling a character in a video game. He had been hit 6 or 7 times on the chin and took at least half the shots before he knew what was happening. He managed to hold Rogers in a clinch to stop being hit and lashed out with his knee. I am sure he wasn't sitting there thinking calmly.... oh ok I have him tied him, oh here are the other players, oh this fight will be broken up soon. I would question what he was thinking to be honest. He had just been hit flush on the chin. He probably can't even remember throwing the knee.

What Daniel Vidot did was lash out as best he could after being hammered. A fight is a serious thing.

You just answered your own question

His hands were defending himself from Rogers. The knee wasn't defense, it was offense.

I sympathize with Vidot, but the knee is an issue
