Face it dogs, you were extremely fortunate with ref calls.
Ryan forced his forearm down twice on Luke's throat, then belted him in the face when Luke tried to push him off. Considering he is only half Ryan's size and was on his back at the time, it should have been Ryan that was put on report. Also, Ennis should have been senf off for running in to punch one of our guys.
So you had one try awarded for a ball that was grounded on the dead ball line and another after an obvious error in the play the ball.
Escaped a penalty when Sandow was shoulder charged after he had kicked the ball and had both feet off the ground.
All this and Moore still had the hide to whinge that because Luke was put on report it should have been an 8 point try.
Congrats on the win but seriously, the dogs have no hope of making the semis if they can only win by 2 points in a home game with that much luck in their favour.
On a dry track we would have belted you... karma awaits you in round 21.
 Biggest load of tripe I've read.
Ryan didn't force his forearm down twice on Luke's throat, Ryan went in for a try, Luke was under him trying to hold him up. Didn't work - unfortunate position for him to be in, but not Ryan's fault as such. Ennis sent off? Wake up to yourself goose, a sin bin is enough for Ennis's offence, for which Luke should've got the same for the initial push.
The "ball on the dead ball line" has been argued ad nauseum elsewhere, the consensus is try and the evidence shows the ball
within the line before it crosses the line. Try, fair and square.
Most of your fans agree that Sandow should not have gotten a penalty for Ennis' tackle, it wasn't late enough to be defined as a late attempt, and in hindsight Souths were lucky not to be counter-penalised as Sandow really took a dive, stayed down ridiculously long after the hit.
That much luck? On a dry track and with our attack much more structured than yours, we wouldn't put 20-30 more on. You'd have had no hope.
