Kiki, & Sass...

If I was talking about someone to another person, & they didn't know who I was talking about, & I said " The black guy. ", would you say that is institutionalized racism ?

Racist prick. I hope you're not serious.

unsuprisingly dean, you don't get it at all.

forget i said anything.

Funny how people who are wrong say that...

It's no different at all to pointing that Sandow is aboriginal. Being black is a distinguising feature. You just assume racism.

calling Sandow the "aboriginal Alfie Langer" is probably racist, BUT, either way it is certainly offensive. Who would want to be known as an Aboriginal obnoxious, smart-arsed little merkin.

no dean, i cannot be 'wrong' when this discussion is a subjective thing. i said forget i said anything because you clearly don't understand my argument to begin with.

It's hardly subjective. You're trying to suggest someone's statement of fact as politically incorrect. They've taken a great player to compare him to, informed people of his race, whether it's necessary or not. Unless you think it's something to be ashamed of?

I'm wading into this racist debate a bit late but I though they were calling him the aboriginal alfie because he's a halfback like alfie, he is short liek alfie, and he is a fantastic player like alfie, he's aboriginal and alfie is not and the fact that the aliteration is gold for journos. I didnt even remotely see it as racist/offensive but I suppose there was no need to bring race into it, apart from the aliteration.

informed people of his race

sh*t. i am deadset not even gonna try and explain me and sassy's point further. if you don't get it then you are either a halfwit or wilfully ignorant.

and yeh it is subjective, i think the statement is dripping with implied racism and others don't. i don't care if people disagree with me when they understand my point, like Garts and Flappers. but some of you just don't get it to begin with.
