I agree. They could easily have been 1-5.

However the storm WILL NOT GET THE SPOON.

They have too good of a side to get the spoon. Inglis, Slater, Cronk, Smith are individuals that will win games.

Does anyone else think that Folau is a bigger loss than thought? He gave them a 5th tackle option EVERY SET and is a very good centre.

nope , i think the wrestling is a bigger loss, for the drizzle

Tiger Nick, pretty harsh about the Storm putting 40 on us if they switched on. You're a half empty kind of bloke I see?

mate i was stoked with the effort last night. however you have to admit the storm were very very average by their standards. cooper cronk had probably his worst ever game in first grade.

what i meant was that the storm had enough field position and possession to win by some margain if they were switched on and we played to our usual. imo if the storm play to their best they probably beat us, but we go down with a fight.

maybe our committed defence forced them into error, and considering im pretty stoked with the win, i think ill stick to that.:D

Gutsy gutsy stuff. Great effort Tigers, I'm still smiling. The defence was as good as I've seen it in ages. A performance full of pride.

Mate, I thought they only started to play very poorly in the last 20 minutes. I think that was because by that stage we had them rattled.

Laurie Daley on the Hooker battle: "Split decision. Robbie Farah was good but Cameron Smith more than held his own given the Tigers forwards dominated. If you put Cameron Smith in tthhe Tigers' side he would have been one of the standout players."

Am I being biased (I know I am bias, just wondering in this instance) or is that a pretty rough appraisal? I can cop a split decision., but seriously, Smith had more than enough chances to exert his influence on the game. Farah played a pivotal role in our first two tries. Where was Smith all game?

There were times when our forwards were getting absolutely dominated in the second half!

Based on that, Ennis is on for origin.

:? That's a worry. I don't understand his logic considering Melbourne dominated the possession and territory?

I remember in Channel 9 games over the years in which Farah starred, the commentators would often digress from their praise of Farah to mention the brilliance of Buderus. it would be something along the lines of 'This kid is good and in only makes you appreciate even more how good Buderus is to be keeping him out of the Origin side. Buderus is... Buderus... Buderus... Fair enough, Buderus was a top player but I thought it unnecessary to mention him all the time even when he wasn't playing.

BTW in the post match rap they mentioned that the selectors are considering playing Gidley at No.9.

And so, we have:

Ennis, Farah (hookers)
Young (lock)
Gidley (Fullback)

As disappointed as I would be if Ennis were selected, I would be absolutely livid if Young/Gidley got the gig. Gidley is an excellent player but he's no hooker.

Are you serious? Gidley at hooker? It really is extraordinary.

It really frustrates me that because Farah is such a flash player, people assume he isn't tough and that he's not gritty. He can do both and he's demonstrated that for 5 years now. Ennis is a johnny come lately who's had a handful of good games, Gidley is not a hooker and Young is just a good first grader.
