What a wonderful game this promises to be. Both teams with no attack except for the cross-field bombs. Match of the century here :sarcasm:

i can list a whole bunch of tries the Dragons have scored that haven't been off kicks. would you like me to or do you not want to be proven wrong? :D

Dragons have either been alot more reliant on scoring from kicks than Roosters or they just have a better conversion rate because many of their tries have come from that option this year compared to us. Funnily enough 'Mr Information' Gaba the babbler criticised the Roosters for that all last year.

Well, no tries in the second half ;-)

Seriously though, the Dragons were far from impressive last night and if the Roosters can match them in the forwards and negate Soward's kicking game by pressuring him all afternoon, the Roosters can win this one. Just make sure they know the game goes for 80 minutes :p

What sort of crowd do you reckon this will get? Me and a mate are heading along to our first game at the SFS and I'm hoping it'll have some atmosphere.

Roosters could be very flat after that heart-breaking loss yesterday.
That would have hurt and taken a lot out of them.
If Saints are close or ahead after the initial 20 minutes, I think we'll run away with it.

Bennett would have given the boys a blasting after the loss to the Knights. We were very flat and the Knights played to the best of their ability, and still only just beat us.

Weyman and Cooper back this week for us is huge.
Sailor will be a loss, as it looks like he will be out for 2 weeks.
Weyman's go forward was missed against Newcastle....and Priddis getting injured stuffed our forward rotation, losing Wendell during the match didn't help either.

I think Saints will win this one....but I do love the Anzac day games and the rivalry between our 2 clubs on this day, it's awesome and one of the best Rugby League days of the year.

We'll come out on fire, get a comfortable lead, then with a combination of bad luck, ineptitude, players going MIA, and refereeing f**kups get beat in the last 5 mins.

that almost sounds like what we did against the knights

true that we were not where we needed to be, think that game against Parra where they really come out strong may have had the boys a little flat. but yeah i think Bennett will have us primed and with the return of Weyman and Cooper i can only hope we get back into the winners book

I don't understand why people get so upset over the kicking.
It's part of our game, and some of the best tries do actually come from kicks.
If it was like Rugby Union where all they do is kick the ball, I'd understand people's frustrations.

Yeah I know mate, wasn't having a go at anyone in particular when I posted that above. Just stating a fact.
If a try is scored from a kick, then the team who let that try in need to work on defending that at training during the week.

I will be going to this game but I'm trying to work out how to get to the SFS. There were all these signs at the CBD yesterday saying that the roads in the CBD are closed till 3pm, which is the route I take to get there. I want to get there by car.

Might be more info on this later in the week I guess.

Should be a great game though.

I would advise against going by car...parking is $15-20 iirc.

the SFS doesn't have the greatest atmosphere to be honest, but they usually get a pretty good crowd in on ANZAC Day. its worth going!
