Deadset I think our halves are blind in their left eye. Morris would've been lucky to touch the ball 5 times throughout the whole game. Kimmorley and Gidley have to go.

My team for game 2 -

1. Hayne
2. Jennings
3. Lyon
4. Morris/Cooper (leaning towards Morris after Coops performance)
5. Morris
6. Bird
7. Pearce (it hurts to say it - i hate this bastard)
8. Weyman
9. Ennis
10. TLL
11. Creagh
12. Waterhouse
13. Gallen (c)
---------------
14. Lewis
15. Watmough
16. Perry
17. Hindmarsh

Before you all start bagging let me justify some of my selections. Gallen, Bird, Hindmarsh are players I think who will step it up a notch for the occasion. I don't think Creagh played that bad tonight apart for his brain snap in the dying minutes.

Still think our halves lack creativity but that's the best we got.

did Trent Waterhouse or Josh Perry even play tonight?

Yeah, I noticed big Josh walking into the QLD defence in the second half before starting his old habits in tackles like flopping on top of the bloke trying to play the ball and being caught out around the ruck when he should have been marking up.

I thought Waterhouse had a pretty good game, good impact on his runs and defensively sound, great try saver on Slater in the first half

Andrew Johns Danny Buderus Kurt Gidley which is the next knights player to be nsw skipper ? Uate ? lol

ok now on a serious note. Im a Parra Fan. But here goes. You play Hayne Fullback or you leave him out of the Side Completely its as simple as that. There a Better wingers then him.

Morris hardly got the ball i believe Nsw need to bring Soward in. Overlooked for country, we need some players who are dangerous and Soward has a great kicking game and would be a threat in attack. Kimmorley and Soward Nsw Halves. Lyon in the centres with Jennings or maybe Josh Morris. with maybe Jennings on the wing with Brett Morris.

And as for the rest. i wont even bother, they always pick the wrong players.

But all im wanting in Game II players are playing in there Appropriate Positions and maybe just maybe we can finnaly See the Blues see off those Maroons.

Agree about Soward he was probably the best half in the NRL last year, I don't really understand why he isn't considered and why they pick players like Barret, Wallace and Lyon ahead of him.

So not cool.

I think Gidley is a perfectly adequate captain for an NRL team but I agree that he is out of his depth in Origin.

The issue is that he keeps being picked at fullback because there is no obvious captain to replace him, and you can't have your captain on the bench. Until someone steps up and shows some leadership he'll keep being picked.

And to be honest...based on last nights performance Hayne should be dropped over Gidley any way. He was pretty average last night. From that first run when he tried the goose step I knew he'd be style over substance...

At least a majority of people r being resonable and saying hayne needs to be fullback or nothing at all I agree. Bu some people saying he should be hooked all together isridiculous....

Anyway here r players I'd hook out of the team all together

Perry
creagh
idris, not ready for origin
Cooper

positional changes
Lyon - centre or not at all
hayne - fullback
gidley - bench or running the waters
watmough - second row
lewis - lock

bring in
hindmarsh - for passion and desperation
gallen - gee we missd his agression
Josh Morris - I'll put him on th wing
a new fiveeight - campese I think needs a better chance IMO niggley and grubby type that we need

Wow. The Bitterness. LOL

I suggest you all take a look at both those try's again.

The Greg Inglis Try - Idris was marking 2 players due to Lyon not sliding across.

Lockayers try. Are you serious? Idris had nothing to do with that.

You're the one that needs your eyes checked.

To those saying Lyon didnt want to be there need to seriously start paying attention.

He did want to be there and he WANTED to be captain.

The selectors have a choice

  • Select the same side and let them get flogged in QLD, thus saving other players from the bad experience and then make changes for game 3
  • Have the balls to make at least 6-7 changes with an eye on the future in key positions and hope for a miracle in game 2. No matter what the result though stick with them for game 3 and the nucleus of the side for next year.

Option 2 is what they should do. The young blokes drafted into the team will not get a better example of what origin is about then game 2, the important thing is that selectors would have to stick with them no matter what happens.

- I don’t care if Gidley is captain, he should be dropped. They can make the captain the ball boy for all I care, does it really matter?
- Hayne at fullback or not in the team at all
- Cooper/Tahu should go with Lyon going back to centre and josh Morris the other centre and Dugan/Coote on the wing (clearly the 2 best young full backs we have, what do we have to lose by giving them a go?)
- Kimmorley needs to go, I don’t care if he tries hard or his defence is good or whatever, the fact is he is 1000 years old, has not won a series for 10 years and just doesn’t have that spark anymore. Personally I would put Pearce/campese in the halves but there are other viable options
- Ennis stays, played well in my opinion
- Weyman stays, Perry goes and hopefully is never heard of again, what an oxygen thief, he is useless!!! Luke Bailey IMO is our form prop at the moment.
- Backrow is our strength and personally I would retain creagh, have one of Gallen/Hindmarsh (that fixes the captain problem right there) and Watmough was ok so retain him
- Learoyd lahrs and Lewis stay on the bench, white and Idris go. I would have Bird on the bench, I don’t like him at all but he is made for origin and like Lewis can play in the halves. The 4th position on the bench needs to be someone who plays for 25 minutes, have a big impact and cover a couple of positions. Carney has to be given a go here.

So that is 8 changes right there. I’m not saying that is a perfect side or even a side that will win game 2, however I think it’s a lot better than the current side but the selectors won’t have the guts to try anything like this.

I think Creagh and Kimmorley were close to the best two on the field - it was the other 15 muppets that killed us.

We need to get a second playmaker in there, the lack of another proper kicking option killed us!

Idris - what was the point? Rubbish.

And as much as I think Gidley isn't the man at the back, there's no way they don't pick him.

The team I hope they go with for game 2 is then:

1-Gidley
2-B.Morris
3-Cooper
4-Lyon
5-Hayne
6-Campese
7-Kimmorley
8-Weyman
9-Ennis
10-White
11-Creagh
12-Watmough
13-Gallen

14-Lewis
15-Learoyd-Lahrs
16-Perry
17-Snowden
