The Dragons have been aiming towards this goal for 2 years. The Roosters have surprised everyone and deep down I believe they are surprised they've got this far so soon. I can't see the Dragons being denied with superior forwards and defence. Defence wins grand finals. Pearce typically goes missing against the Dragons. I expect Weyman and Costigan to put some big hits on and unsettle Pearce and his boyfriend Carney as well.

Well we can forget about all those games as they were either with completely different teams or when we were playing with Carney at FB, Anasta at 5/8 and Mini on the wing.

12 points isn't much in the last game, but we didn't play particularly well that day. Partly our own fault and partly because your chaps didn't let us.

Obviously the challenge is the correct that on Sunday.

Carney played at 5/8 against us in the last game.

You were so close to producing a constructive opinion Panferzzz2million.

Just one point though, defence doesn’t always win grand finals, your team in 2003 is testimony to that.

dragons team is predictable and i think roosters be too good cause we have carney and SKD and i think will run around them in the backs. dragons might have slightly better pack i dont no but i think it probably even but with roosters having much better halves and backs i think we a better team

Are you serious? Better Backs?

Let's do a comparison:

Boyd>Minichiello
Morris>Perrett
Gasnier>Linnett
Cooper=SKD
Nightingale>Leulia

Boyd's form has dropped (as is evident by lack of Dally M points he collected towards the second half of the season), Minichiello's form on the other hand has significantly increased. The rest I would agree with completely.

As I recall we only conceded 6 points in the Grand Final. Our defence wasn't that great throughout the year but on Grand Final night we went pretty well in defence, particuarly on our goal line.

Dragons deserve favouritism, I would've thought the Roosters would relish the underdog tag. Not exactly used to it when it comes to gf's though, having been hot favourite in '03 and got rolled and rated a strong chance in '04 only for Chris Walker to stuff up against the Dogs. I'd love nothing more than another Roosters gf loss

He was epic on Saturday night. Out of the ingoal twice, especially the one with 2 minutes to go. Also there to mop up the kick with 30 seconds to go.

I thought he had his best game since the Souths game in Round 26, oh wait that was only 2 games earlier!

am i right in saying jamie soward and dean young are the only run ons that havent played for their state/country?
You are 100% correct. None of our starting 13 hasn't played rep footy in some capacity, Soward and Young have both played City v Country.

From the bench Merrin, Prior and Saffy obviously haven't. Fien has played for QLD and NZ.

Yes you did only concede six points but the fact remains that the best attacking side of 2003 beat the best defensive side of 2003 in the grand final which shows that defensive sides don’t always win the grand finals like you claimed.

I 100% agree that the dragons deserve favouritism and I couldn’t care less what you would or would not like to see.

I wouldn't mind Saints winning by 41, just to shut Manly fans up :)

I'm not disputing he played there in the last game.

I couldn't care less what rorter fans want to see either. Talk about cocky though.

Couldn't believe some of the fans predictions I read on this Fox Sports page. Several tipping 'The Chooks' by 13+. Pretty amazing considering its been so long since they even scored 12 points against the Dragons. They could be in for a big reality check.

They can predict what they want. You will not see such predictions from me though, I acknowledge that St George have been the best team for the past 2 seasons and that the GF will be a hard fought battle but that does not mean I can’t be confident in my team.

Do you expect roosters fans to predict a dragons victory?

Weren’t you the one predicting the Panthers to beat the roosters by 20 a couple weeks back?

At the moment, the Rorters are the only team playing on Sunday according to the media.
Let's all jump on that bandwagon & go c**k-a-hoop CRRR-AAAZYYYY.......LOL...

Because they are the only team making themselves available to the media.

Bennett has his players locked up in some Fritzel style dungeon as far as I can tell.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's impregnated a few of them too. Soward looks like he'd accept a bit of stubbly wrinkled love :sarcasm:
