Dragon's D is great. But Manly hardly teasted them today. They cld've had 70% possession and still not scored.
Titans play solid, no-thrills ball. Dragon's D can stop this.
Its the Raiders, Tigers and Roosters, with their flashy attack that might worry them.

Saints' sensational defence prevents the game being entertaining for the neutrals.

Incorrect, everyone appreciates a strong defence, it is half the game after all. Not trying to troll (anymore :sarcasm:) but what makes St George a frustrating team to watch is the insistence on taking the penalty goal EVERY BLOODY TIME. It's not lilke they can't put on a good try when they feel like it.

This could be their downfall I think. If points are needed it could be hard for them to adjust their mindset from safety first to attacking, free flowing football.

We shut them down pretty well with their bread and butter plays, no reason why other sides can't do the same.

15,574.

Minor premiers home final. Disgraceful.

For the record, the AFL drew 66,545 for their minor premier.

And Super Rugby drew 38,534 for theirs.
Did you think the game was capable of drawing 66,000?

I'm actually very surprised by that 15K figure. I normally have no trouble picking the crowd at Kogarah and thought it was around 19,000. The bulk of the hill was standing room only. And the far south-east area was almost full - when that happens it's an indicator that we have a full house.

It was 95% Saints supporters. Manly supporters were pretty woeful in that regard. Quite different to the Brookvale final in 2008 when Saints supporters showed up in force.

In any case, it looked great and the atmosphere was tremendous. It was the right venue for the crowd and shows up those that called for the game to be moved to the SFS or Homebush.

Can Dragons ever be called up on a forward pass?
Couldn't make it to the game Dutchy?

Funny thread. Opposition supporters laying the boot in. Not too many Saints supporters bothering. I guess that because most of us were at the game looking at the scoreboard.

The best part about the match was the other team's zero score. Our goal line defence was excellent. In some league circles, that actually counts for something.

Over the last few weeks, probably the last 6 or 7 we've more often than not turned them down. Yesterday we had the game won, kicking the penalty goal is a time eater, the less time the ball is in play the less time we have to get any injuries.

I have no problems with the way we played yesterday. Secure the win first, drain the clock, then punish them in the last 15. It's a pretty solid formula against opposition like that.

Finals you do what you have to do to win, nothing more, nothing less.

I couldn't care less how many points we scored against them. The zero is what matters. Manly had 26 consecutive tackles on our line and still couldn't get through. We cruised through that game, scored 28 and conceded nothing, it's a pretty solid finals win.

Kicking for goal doesnt piss me off.. The Broncos won premierships doing it under Bennett with a very good attacking team.

it shows the dragons arent scared of other teams attack , they know they can defend.and confident of winning close games.

Teams who attack get worn out look at the tigers they attack the roosters couldnt score enough points and couldnt hold out.

The dragons nearly doubled the tigers score with a quarter of effort , the roosters struggled in attack to score 19 points.

Attack is the easy part of the game , but sustaining defence for a long time isnt for majority of teams this year

LOL, the implying I'm not a real fan because I couldn't make it to the game. I live over 3 hours away, and have less then $50 in the bank. I think eating for the week is more important then being at that abusive sh*thole.

Fair enough, as the winner you have every right to be happy with the performance, but you can't begrudge the rest of us for being bored sh*tless.

The roosters bore me with the reliance on carney to do the attack.

So to stay awake i watch
pearce being predictable in attack and goes missing in games :)

The roosters are also a better team this year and in way better form than Manly. The dragons only scored 19 points in our last meeting, 4 more than the tigers.

Hahahahahaha at a dragons fan saying another team bores him!

If you were bored by Saturday night’s game you have some serious issues.

Tell you the truth , the only thing what excited me the game went near 100 mins.

Defence what gets me excited :) and seeing the attacking side get frustrated they cant score.

F*ck of Dragons. Just making up the numbers in these finals

You really are a first-rate merkin arent you?

F*ck off Raiders_premiers....& quit the whining.
You get your (undeserved) home semi-final this friday night. Hopefully now you'll quit your incessant meaningless dribble.

LOL! A simple 'no' would have been OK.

Which nerve did I touch?

lol...if Saints stood on the field twirling their dicks around you'd claim that it makes for exciting footy.
